Love how it washes and all the different cycles to chose from. It takes a long time to dry even on half loads, but overall a great combo washer/dryer. I bought this unit for my RV.

I would recommend this washer/dryer for a small apartment with 1-2 people or for an RV/camp. This is not for a family. I love the size of this compact all-in-one washer dryer. I have it in a kitchen closet where half is my pantry and half is my laundry. It does a really good job of washing your clothes. Even my larger loads get really clean. Drying is where the problem is for more than 1 person. It takes over 3 hours to dry a load of clothes. If you are able to hang your clothes out side or in your basement you would be able to do more loads in a day. It's just the drying cycle consumes so much time that 1-2 loads is all you will get done if you use the dry cycle. That is fine for me as I only do 2 loads a week to start with. Sheets and towels are extra loads and I don't do them every week. I wait till I have a small load of towels to do them. You must be conscious of your laundry all the time so you don't get backed up. When you do use the dry cycle your clothes don't come out completely dry. I don't mind this as they don't wrinkle so bad and they don't shrink up either. I have never dried my clothes all the way. I do hang some of my things like shirts anyway. So for me it is a nice little washer and works for me. It will not work for everyone. As for some of the other complaints that I have seen about this washer: it does have a powerful spin cycle and I was concerned about that because I have it in the same closet as my pantry! I worried it my knock things off the shelf. It does not. Just be sure you remove and "SAVE" the bolts in the back of the washer before using it. Save if you might be moving or relocating this washer. It protects the drum. It does not have a filter to clean and this is a problem for me as I have a very furry dog. Sometimes there is still fur on my clothes. Not to bad though. I just give them a shake before I fold them. It is not noisy but you do feel the spine cycle a bit but it does not shake the house like others have mentioned. All in all I think it was a good purchase for me. I wanted to save money and space and needed to stop going to laundromat. I also think this would be a good second washer option for on a second floor. I just would not recommend for a family as the only washer.

This is one great looking machine. Much better quality than I expected. It also has a ton of features for different types of wash, heat settings, spin settings, drying times, childproof lock for the lcd pad, alarms and sounds that can be turned on and off, and a feature to save your favorite wash setting so that you don't have to program all the various features each time you use the machine. Also, the 2.0 cu. ft. washing drum is larger than I imagined! When running, it is VERY quiet! It doesn't mention it in the instructions, but you can use this machine hooked up to your kitchen sink using a quick disconnect, just using the cold water line. You control the water temp at the faucet, but you always choose "cold" on the machine, so that it doesn't look for hot water from the hot water inlet. I also bought the inexpensive Magic Chef rolling dolly for the machine. It fits perfectly. This way, I roll the machine to the sink when I'm going to do wash. No need to buy longer inlet and waste hoses. Then I wheel it out of the way when I'm done. Always keep in mind, this is a ventless dryer, so drying time is a lot longer than most people are used to. My wash cycle is roughly 30 minutes. Drying time is about 3 hours. It's a low energy consumption machine, so I'm not concerned about crazy electricity bills, Just be prepared to take longer than usual to dry. Magic Chef customer service and tech support has been fantastic. I've called them twice prior to buying and once after, to ask about technical specs on how to use the machine (like the use of only the cold water line, and how to set the temp on the machine as mentioned above). They always picked up the phone immediately, and were very friendly and informative. Also, my machine unfortunately arrived with a broken mounting tab for the top of the machine. I immediately called Magic Chef and they will be covering it under warranty and sending me a new one. No fuss, no muss. I'm very happy I bought this machine.

This washer dryer combo unit does a great job. Do your homework and make sure that this type of machine is right for you and your family. Just as stated, it's great for small apartments / condos, 1 to 2 adults and maybe a small child. It will wash a full load and dry a half load. It works best if you just simply fill it halfway and program the unit to wash & dry without interruption adding your detergent and fabric softener before you hit start. Regarding the safety feature that locks the load door. This unit steam dries your clothes and locks for safety when very hot. When I wish to end my drying time prematurely, I just simply press the pause button and the door unlocks in exactly 15min. after the unit cools to a safe temperature. I highly recommend this unit. The only setback is if you're washing multiple loads, you don't have the luxury of starting your 2nd load while drying your 1st due this being an all in one unit. Small price to pay.

This washer/dryer combo is the perfect size for my small house (720 sq. ft.). I absolutely love it and it is exactly what I expected. I have other people interested in this product, but they would need a bigger size. I have only had it now for about 2 weeks.

I love this washer/dryer! I was worried about the capacity but It barley makes a difference to me. And the dry is awesome! The only problem I had was I didn't realize it had a standard plug and I had to have my outlet changed before I could use it. IT'S AMAZING!!

Another reviewer wrote that 'you can spend more money but you'll get less' He was certainly right! We fed this machine a week+ worth of dirty laundry starting the day we hooked it up and it digested it all and produced clean, dry. fresh feeling clothes. We followed the instructions and did half loads so it could dry properly and it really did. Solid and well built, we smile every time we walk by it, anticipating all the time that we _won't_ be spending in the local laundrymat.
