Makes lots of ice
I have an older refrigerator whose ice maker stopped working. I had lots of room in the ice compartment and I tried this ice maker to see if it would fill my ice needs. I love ice water, and especially in this summer's heat. I got it off the shelf, plugged in, washed and cleaned it and seven minutes later ice fell. I am not sure about using it everyday when one desires a cold drink, but if stored in a large plastic bag in your freezer, why not? It makes a lot of ice with only 24 ounces of water, it drains with ease, easy clean, fresh ice, clean water, money saver, and fast.

Amazing!
I have a vintage apartment that gets very hot in summer and my freezer is way too small to keep up w making enough ice via trays - so I got this machine to be able to have ice and I’m shocked how amazing it is! Phenomenal value for the price! Highly recommend! I am just one person so this is perfect for me. It produces about 10 cubes at a time. I am currently working to fill a huge container to keep in the freezer, it is taking a few hours but that’s bc my kitchen was very hot when i started. I noticed the cubes are much stronger and way less melty now that it’s been going for a while, when I first started it they were a little watery. I’m sure it’s bc my kitchen was sunny and hot and I used room temp water. A few tips: use cold water in the reservoir not room temp, keep the machine out of the sun otherwise it will take longer to make the cubes, that’s a mistake I made. Had I known that I would have put the machine in the living room where the AC is the coldest and i’m sure it would’ve taken half the time. All in all, highly recommend!

ICE EATER
If you eat ice this makes soft ice. I was a little skeptival because i have sensitive teeth and some ice is super hard to chew definetly recommed. Super easy to set ip a d work

This is really nice! It had some mixed reviews. After reading the instruction manual I understand why they’re mixed reviews. People didn’t read the instructions first. You have to let it sit for 24 hours before you plug it in or the coolant will not work. So read your instructions people and your equipment might work.

I haven’t had this machine for a month yet and...
I haven’t had this machine for a month yet and it stopped working. It says ice full but there’s no ice in it. It literally just made ice & I just emptied the basket when it said ice full. Now it doesn’t want to make ice apparently. I’m highly disappointed. I literally just bought this on 7/5/20. I’m really annoyed like seriously MagicChef come on.

Not bad at all
I absolutely love ice I’m a ice eater. I eat ice any chance I get and crave it when I don’t eat it. I love this ice maker however, it’s so slow it takes forever. I hate how this machine makes 5-7 cubes every 6 minutes, that’s too long for me. It’s not enough ice dropping in that period of time. It goes through 3 maybe 4 runs depending on how much water you put in for the ice to be full and taken out. I have to keep checking to see if the red light come on so I can empty the basket so more ice can be made. Moreover, I managed to start making ice right away when I get low and put it in a large zip loc bag.

Great Gadget, has flaws and will be returning. Sad had high hopes!
I've been eying this for a while, my kids and I love Ice and they're Rootbeer freaks! So we go through a lot of ice, but I have to buy bags of ice, It takes up a lot of room in my freezer and ALWAYS sticking together. I need to use a meat Hammer to break it up every time. So I finally bought this the other day, very cool concept however, the Ice is very small and not hard enough. The chamber doesn't hold too much Ice, yes it will produce a lot in a day but you'd be needing to empty it to your freezer. A glass ( like in my picture ) almost empties the chamber ! Not Cool ! The bigger issue is the Ice melts down in the unit rapidly, and the ice get's stuck together. Also the unit can't keep the ice cold enough, and the ice is very soft, way too soft. .. Which in turn, melts into your drink rapidly as well. Not sure what application this would be suitable for, possibly a pool area but it's really not practical. Fun to watch and the amount of water it uses makes a lot of ice in that respect. Bummer, had high hopes for this and now I'll be back to bagged Ice.
