The main reason for getting the meat grinder was I like to make my own chicken burgers in the summer time. Most local grocery stores do not have ground chicken and the ones that do charge between $2.75 and $3.50 a pound. I’ve found one local store the sells locally raised Amish boneless/skinless chicken breast at a very reasonable price, so I purchase 5 lbs at a time (they have a 5 # limit for the price) then cut it into strips so I can feed it into the grinder. I use the coarse grinding dish. It takes me longer to clean it then it does to set up and grind the chicken, but it’s worth it to me. I would recommend this product.

The Magic Chef electric meat grinder in realtree xtra camo pattern is a great looking everyday meat grinder. I wanted to try grinding my own meat to make hamburger and sausage. I first tried grinding some chuck steak for hamburgers. It was very easy to use for the first time. the grinder is pretty quiet I used the course grinding plate for the hamburger. Very good results. Nice machine.

The Magic Chef electric meat grinder is very well made. It is solid, and goes together very easily. The parts are heavy and well made. It comes with three different size grinding discs, coarse, medium, and fine. Depending on what size the grind you want, all three are sharp and easily changeable. It also easily changes over to a sausage maker. I really like this meat grinder, and it's so cool that it's camouflage!

Pleasantly surprised by this unit. When I first ordered it, I didn't think it was capable of much, basically I was going to use it to make fresh grind for burgers once in a while... Then I ran into the situation where my meat processor went out of business and I had 47 pounds of deer to grind. No way this is going to work, I thought. Well, as I said before, I was pleasantly surprised as this little grinder hummed its way through all that meat with not so much as a complaint. I ground a lot of meat in one setting, and here are all the things I noticed:
I used the middle size disk, and it was a great consistency.
The motor got a little warm, but never where I thought it was dangerous. I did shut it off several times as I cut pieces of meat smaller.
It was a little loud. This didn't bother me, but my daughter kept complaining while she was playing minecraft.
The motor bogged down a little bit on the tougher pieces of meat, but it never gave up!
The feed tube is small, so you do need to cut your meat a little smaller than with a big commercial machine.
Clean up was SIMPLE! I used hot water to melt all the suet off the metal parts, and then hand cleaned it with dish soap. None of the parts are dishwasher safe, it warns several times.
I am excited to try the sausage stick attachment. Probably will try that in the next day or two. For the cost of this machine, you could have a whole wild game animal processed. If you are a hunter that processes your own meat, this will pay for itself in no time at all. And, its camouflage! I thought it would be cheesy, but it really does look good.

I would recommend Magic Chef Meat Grinder. I like the look right out of the package, nice design and not to much. Very functional with lots of options. It comes with three grinding discs, one for Course, Medium and fine. I did try it out and ground up some deer meat that I had and needed to process into hamburger. I found this grinder to be strong enough to grind right through the steak meat. There is a sausage making attachment included. The motor runs quite, so that is nice when you are using it right in your kitchen. This unit will do up to 4 pounds of meat in minutes. There is a reverse switch, I find this handy when your steak meat gets caught up, you can just back up the motor and then resend it through. The grinding attachment goes on easy, you just line up the notches and it locks in place. I think this grinder would be very functional in any kitchen.
