Unbox at store. Had a huge dent
Nice little freezer. There was cardboard missing from corner. Home Depot assured it was fine. Borrowed a truck, drove 20 miles because home delivery was not an option. Unboxed and was sent. Customer service refunded $40 which I felt for the price was fair

Almost two years and still going strong.
Purchased this 7 cubic foot Magic Chef chest freezer in May of 2021. It compliments my ancient beer fridge. Both of these units are kept in our large, attached, 2 car garage. We live in Maryland so it is rare when the outside temp drops into the single digits. Even so, I monitor the freezer temps and garage temp with an inexpensive alarm unit. I also use a smart plug which will alert me in the event of a power outage. I put the freezer on a mobile platform so when it comes time to defrost, I can simply roll it outside and remove the drain plug. Great freezer, highly recommended.

Great Purchase to Replace Old Chest Freezer
My old 3.1 cu ft chest freezer up and died suddenly so I had to replace it quickly. It was always crammed with foods I wanted to get a bigger one but I had a limited footprint. I found this Magic Chef 5.0 cu ft freezer at the local HD and it fit the bill perfectly: it was a little wider than my previous freezer (about 5 inches) but the other dimensions were the same, and with that extra width I got almost double the storage. It is extremely quiet and keeps its cold really well; I have seen almost no frost, unlike my previous freezer. It has two hanging baskets with are large enough to be of real use, and it has a removable divider with allows a second side compartment to be formed; this is where I put items I want to get at quickly, as well as jars for homemade soups and stocks. The LED light in the lid was a bonus that I did not expect: it makes freezer searches much easier in the low light area it is located in. The extra storage space makes allows me to keep only the items I need regularly in the freezer in my kitchen. So far I love this freezer and highly recommend it.

Mighty freezer
Unboxed at home. Washed exterior with warm water wash cloth.
No dents, scratches. Came with 2 baskets. Love the side racks inside attached to the shelf. Holds things in place. The led light on door helps to view inside. The green light indicator doesn't stay on to show freezer in constant freeze mode like other freezers. so that's a flaw. But overall good freezer, perfect size. Holds quarter cow meats. Paid $236. Including tax.
