Ya need to apply several coats
Those who left poor reviews of the product, most likely didn’t follow the directions, or have no clue on how to use a product such as this. This paint is to be used as is without thinning. Ya also need to apply 3+ coats (and yes, let the coats completely dry before the next coat). The suspended nano magnetic particles in the paint work well with quality magnets. This ain’t rocket surgery y’all.

Worked as advertised. We used 3 coats followed by two coats of paint. Standard magnets will hold light paper, strong magnets hold much more.

I used a roller to apply the paint and used the entire quart to cover two narrow (22" each) closet doors. Most magnets stayed in place. Some of smooth "rubber" magnets tented to slide. The surface roughness was fairly course - certainly rougher than any epoxy paint. I later opted to bond a sheet of galvanized steel and paint over it. That worked best.

It worked but not as well as we hoped. It takes very light weight magnets. The paint is VERY messy and splatters so make sure to really cover all surfaces when using this product.
