A: Hello, thank you for your question. Summer oil is ok to use year around however winter oil would NOT be recommended for use in the summer months.
A: Best quality
A: This oil in my knowlege is fomulated for gas engine type chainsaw and trimmer , i use it and it s fine. i had some residus over my hand and i did't got any allergies . Safe for the trees ? you may ask directly Makita. But i suggest since a chainsaw spray the oil when running try to spay a tree that you want remove, check it a week or so later if a problem arise. Organic oil or biodegradable are in " spot " now is it really efficient ? Then i just read this : The demand for environmentally acceptable products is growing rapidly. There is increased concern about the influence of petroleum-based oils on the envi-ronment. Also, exposure to petroleum-based oils can have adverse health effects on users. One potential alternative is the use of “environmentally compatible” or “enviro-friendly” oils that are produced from vegetables. To achieve this classification, an oil must be nontoxic and must biodegrade rapidly if spilled. Rapeseed-based (usually called canola) oil is currently the most common environmentally compatible chain-and-bar lubricant.
A: Thank you for your question. When pruning trees, use botanical oil. Mineral oil may harm trees.
