Thank you for your question. No, the 4100NH 4-3/8" Masonry Saw is not intended for granite cutting. Please see the GA4030 4" Angle Grinder with A-94580 4" Diamond Blade, Turbo, Hard Material.

I believe I recall the instructions said NOT to use as a wet saw. Please use a dust mask as it creates a lot of dust.

it is a wet saw?

No. First cut I did, I did pour water on it, but if you don't mind the dust thrown up, don't need water. I put on a mask so I wouldn't have to breath in the dust. I was surprised how easily it cut through the blocks.

Is this a 9.6 amps or 12 amps, the data plate in photo reads 9.6 amp? which one is true?

I just looked at my new one, and it is 9,6 amp. You will not run out of power. If you are, you are cutting both too deep, and pushing it too fast.

yes - that is what I used it for.

what the depth on the cut

I just measured one of mine at 1-1/4" maximum depth. I need to interject here though that I rarely cut all of the way through anything. Thinks like pavers, I cut/notch about 3/8 deep, (never measured), and snap them. Sure saves on blades, and is MUCH faster.

Is this appropriate to use to cut granite?

I just ordered from Home Depot, and received the The 4100NH1. It came with one and only one blade. I called the Makita customer service phone number, then confirmed the The 4100NH is the exat same saw, but does NOT come with a blade, while the The 4100NH1 comes with one (1) Makita general purpose masonry blade, hence the number 1 in their model number.

Does it makes a lot of dust when you're cutting the tiles ?

It makes a lot of dust. Make sure you have a dust mask and safety glasses on hand. I had to stop cutting to allow the dust to dissipate so I could see what I was cutting.

Good saw. The only complaint I have is that most of the concrete tiles I cut had to be marked and cut on both sides because the blade wouldn't cut all the way through.

It cut the concrete pavers well that we used for a new walkway. So much dust was produced that another worker was needed to spray water on the stone in order to see the cut lines and to control the dust.
