It is about 8" from the front of the table to the blade. I don't believe this saw is intended for crosscutting boards of that width. It is a lighter duty saw.
Yes it does. It costs just under $40 and the part number is: 317934-3 It is very hard to make your own insert plates due to the limitations of thickness.
Yes
If you buy a European version you can get 220v
Thank you for your question. Yes. On model 2705, you can use up to a 13/16 stacked dado, 6 inches in diameter. You will need a dado center cover, part # 317934-3, and a dado flange set, part # 192693-8.
Slide n tap. Not as bad as you would think.
Personally I would recommend building a wood base your self. You can even use your saw to build it. I built a cabinet in my basement for use inside the house. I also build a small base that can be carried to the garage or other sites as needed. There are many metal framed fix bases. Bosch makes one (model TS1001) that I considered, but in the end I want a certain height.
Thank you for your question. This unit has a 2 1/2 inch dust port at the back of the saw for dust extraction.
You can get the manual online at the Makita website in pdf format. The manual however is extremely minimal and doesn't cover the dado capabilities very well.
No, this model is not recommended for cutting porcelain tile.
