The Makita 12 Dual-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw with Laser (model LS1219L) combines capacity, accuracy and efficient dust extraction in a more compact size, with a unique 2-Steel Rail Sliding System that offers a reduced footprint for operation flush against a wall. The innovative direct-drive gearbox and guard system is engineered for increased vertical cutting capacity of baseboard (6-3/4) and crown molding (8 nested). It will also make 15 crosscuts at 90. The saw miters 0 to 60 left and right, with positive stops at 0, 15, 22.5, 31.6, 45 and 60 (left or right). The bevel lock is located in the front of the saw for easy access and quick adjustments from 0 to 48 (left and right). The saw is powered by a 15 Amp. direct drive motor with soft start, a key point of difference. Direct drive enables smoother start-ups and consistent, constant power with no belts to slip or replace. The electric brake provides added convenience. In addition, the electronic speed control maintains constant speed under load for smoother, higher-quality cutting.

What are the actual dimensions of the LS1019L? Makita's own product page and product manual list different sizes. The product page says it's 32-11/16" x 22-1/16" x 21-11/16" but the manual says 31-3/4" x 25-3/8" x 26" (L x W X H). 3"+ differences matter!

bro my dewalt 12in dw718 cuts over 5.5" tall. this new stuff claiming to be the best is crazy. buy old saws, they have plenty of parts.
What is the part number for the previously used aluminum (not rod) extensions? Please don't state "These were always used". A simple google/YouTube search proves otherwise.
Thank you for your question on the LS1219L Duel-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw with Laser. The aluminum extensions wings only are available in separate pieces. The Sub-Base part number is 319815-7. The Rod's part number is 327315-3 and you need two of them. The small Sub Fence for the top of the Sub-Base is 347509-4 and the screws to hold the Sub-Base to the wing is 92443-5 and you need two.
