It is made in China. They use chinese steel in Chinese made products, despite manufactures' standards. Educate yourself on the issues of substandard chinese steel just about anywhere online.

Does the case have room for storing lots of long replacement blades?

Yes, the compartment for blades is 14" x 2.5".

JR3070CT or JR3070CTZ!? "JR3070CT" has a trigger lock, "JR3070CTZ" - no. Which is preferable !?

Asked by master217 September 7, 2017

Answer

Thank you for your question. The preference is determined by the user. The convenient large 2-finger trigger with lock-on button on the JR3070CT allows use of the tool without continuously holding down trigger. If you prefer to have the tool shut off as soon as you release the trigger the JR3070CTZ is the tool for you.

is the battery and charger included?

LOL at HD associate response. Battery and charger are not included due to this being a "power" tool you plug in, not a cordless tool.

This saw is incredible!!!! Lots of power. Smooth operation with much less vibration. It really does live up to the reviews. It's a bit on the heavier side of others but once one starts cutting it is made up for in less tired arms. Fast smooth cutting. Don't blame the saw if your blade is dull...change the blade.adjustable depth of cut is handy as well. Nice roomy metal case is a real plus. Keep up the good work Makita

Good saw, lower vibration and easy to control. The only thing I don't like about this saw is the way the trigger lock integration works. If you touch the trigger with the trigger lock on, it disengages the trigger lock (normal). Can't really hold this saw well without gripping over the trigger.
