No.
It's more of a clutch drive setting not an impact driver. Settings range from 2 to 18 on the strength of drive needed. Ex : I use a setting of 2-3 for screwing locksets on doors, or 16-18 for 3 inch wood or deck screws. It will drive almost any type screw except Tap-Con concrete screws. Best to use a quality Impact screw gun with nut driver attachment
Thank you for your question. Run time is based on many factors, but the efficient BL™ Brushless Motor is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for up to 50% longer run time per charge.
In addition -- the XPH12Z, which has the same motor (pos. 6 and 7 in the parts list), is rated for 1.5" wood capacity. How is it that its drill-driver equivalent can manage wood bits of 0.5" lower diameter?
I believe it does. However, even the 5 AH is somewhat heavy and I would opt for 2 lower AH batteries, keeping one on the charger and one on the drill. Since you enquire about this large battery, I assume you do a lot of work with drills. Makita makes a 1/2" impact driver, which you might be interested in. This would fit all your 1/2" square drive sockets, etc. It is not cheap, but you (usually) get what you pay for.
Thank you for your question. The XFD131 18V LXT® Lithium‑Ion Brushless Cordless 1/2" Driver‑Drill Kit (3.0Ah) is compatible with the entire line of 18 Volt LXT Makita batteries including the BL1815 18V Compact Lithium‑Ion Battery.
what is difference between xph xfd
Thank you for your question. The XFD061 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Compact Brushless Cordless 1/2" Driver-Drill Kit (3.0Ah) should be capable of completing this job.
Thank you for your question, Yes, the Makita 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/2 in. Driver-Drill Kit, 3.0Ah will accept the 5 Ah battery.
To be sure I would. Retain a photocopy of the receipt (which often fades) Perhaps you could do it on line.
