The Makita 18-Volt Compact Lithium-Ion battery charges faster and works longer than standard compact lithium-ion batteries, giving you and your cordless tools unmatched performance and productivity to take on the most demanding applications. The Makita 2.0Ah battery combines more run time (50% more run time per charge than the Makita BL1815 battery) with a category-leading charge time of only 25-minutes, so it spends more time working and less time sitting on the charger. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion batteries resist self-discharge so they're ready for use even after long periods of storage. The Makita Rapid Optimum Charger (sold separately) is a smart-charging system that communicates with the battery during the charging process to monitor current, voltage and temperature. This advanced charging technology helps optimize battery life and deliver a faster charge. In addition, the Charger has a built-in fan to cool the battery for faster and more efficient charging, even in hot weather conditions. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. Makita, the innovation leader in cordless tool technology, has the world's largest cordless tool line-up powered by an 18-Volt lithium-ion slide-style battery.
Integrated LED battery charge level indicator allows user to monitor battery charge
Provides up to 50% more run time per charge compared to BL1815
Reaches full charge in 25-minutes or less
Compatible only with star protection tools, indicated by the star symbol and/or yellow battery receiver under the tool
Battery delivers consistent power and run time in extreme temperatures, even in winter (-4 degree F/-20 degree C)
Equipped with star protection computer controls to protect against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating
Impact-resistant outer case and shock-absorbing inner-liner are engineered to protect the battery
16 contact terminals maintain a constant connection with the tool to help prevent power loss or fluctuation, even during high-vibration applications
Battery resists self-discharge and remains ready for use even after long periods of storage
Makita 18-Volt lithium-ion is the world's largest cordless tool line-up powered by an 18-Volt lithium-ion slide-style battery
Makita technology delivers category-leading charge time so the battery spends more time working and less time sitting on the charger (charger not included)
Works really well. It has power and is accurate right where you put the point is where the nail goes. The rapid nail setting work just like a pneumatic nailer no delay. Is a little loud and heavy over I would buy it again if I had too. Well worth it.
Another great Makita cordless tool. It works great I have used to repair my wooden gate.

Hope the new BL1830B last 5 years like old BL1830
Purchased a brushless XRJ07ZB reciprocating saw.
Purchased BL1830B-2, 2 pack of 3.0 amp hour batteries for $99 before tax.
My 5 year old batteries still work.
New batteries fit older LXT cordless ☆ tools. Similar numbers. New battery has indicator LED

I have medium to large hands and the Makitas work well. The HD Brand is way too heavy and big for me. Makitas always fit best and are light and powerful. Very enough for what I need. My average drill/impact lasts me at least 8 years. We don't use it TOO often as we only manage rentals but don't do all the construction as a full time contractor would. Our contractor uses Makita as well and swears by them. The batteries last longer than most brands in my experience.

This is the kit that most homeowners or handy persons should buy to tackle home maintenance and upgrades or to create something new. You get all the best features (power, speed and performance) of 18-volt power tools in a compact size and weight that you only find with most other 12-volt tools. A second benefit is that these tools are designed with brushless motors that deliver a longer run time, increased power and speed and longer tool life.
Both the drill and impact driver offer two speeds with each tool weighing in at less than 3-pounds, a compact 6-1/2 inch circular saw that delivers 5,000 rpm for fast cutting or ripping (blade included), a 4-LED flashlight that delivers 160 lumens of bright white light, a generously sized tool bag to store everything in and lastly, two fast-charging 1.5Ah batteries with a charger. Additionally, the tools are protected by Makita's 3-year warranty. Now THAT's is a lot of performance, versatility and value for my money!

This makita 18V subcompact set is a great lightweight cordless set that anybody can use. Comes with a drill, driver, flashlight, 6-1/2" circular saw, two batteries, a charger, and a soft canvas bag to fit it all in. The drill and driver are very powerful for their size and easy to hold, the circular saw is also lightweight, has good depth and bevel adjustment, and cuts powerfully and smoothly even with the included blade, and the flashlight is a decent work light for most applications. It's not super easy to fit everything into the bag all at once but I keep the saw separate.

This is a small scale cordless blower for light-duty applications. I was interested in this product because having something which is very portable has advantages outdoors as well as select indoor applications. This has a powerful blower, and it works great for easily and conveniently blowing out leaves and detritus from the garage without the annoyance of a cord. I have tried this for the patio, using it to blow leaves and light snow, and also indoors in utility areas which are not easily accessible by a utility vac ,such as blowing away cobwebs in a crawl space or lint buildup behind the dryer. Outside, for larger areas, its use is somewhat limited by its small size, short nozzle, and also its 25 minute battery life (intermittent use - only 12 minutes continuous use). It has three speeds, but I only found the highest speed useful. Its battery is interchangeable with the rest of the Makita 18-volt line of tools, which is great if you already have some of the other items in this line.

This Makita, battery powered, blower moves a maximum of 113 CFM of air at a maximum of 219 MPH at the highest speed setting making it handy for workshop cleanups, all without the hassle of dragging an extension cord around. When fully assembled, the tool is roughly 20 inches long and weighs less than 5-pounds. A three position, speed-adjusting dial determines the maximum overall speed; squeezing Switch Trigger increases/decreases the blowers speed within that previously selected speed setting. The tapered rubber nozzle can also be attached to the suction side of the blower to allow it to be used a light duty vacuum; the optional dust bag is recommended when used in this manner. Additionally, an optional flexible hose set and/or garden nozzle is available to extend its usefulness.

This handy little 21-inch-overall blower is one of the best gadgets that Makita makes. It has come in handy to blow away the mess on our deck left by the squirrels eating the bird feeder sunflower seeds. The other great use has been to blow off leaves off our family cemetery markers and headstones. It seems to run for at least 15 minutes at full speed. By putting the nozzle on the side air intake it becomes a vacuum cleaner. I am not sure I would use it as that, but it is a suggested use.
