If it is a 1-1/8" hex and has the lock not far below the stem end, its a good chance it will. Otherwise, no. For example, a Makita bit will not fit in a TR demo hammer

Ya, its not consistent, thats for sure. I would not recommend for loose soil. It does need resistance. Some demo hammers are more sensitive and activate much quicker than the TR model. This I have found using 3 different demo hammers. I used it for root removal, and it was in more dense soil. So I did have trouble with it activating on a number of occasions, but I got the hang of it to hit more often. I put weight on it before I triggered.

No the older style for the HM1500 is round at the end of the shaft so this bit won't fit.

It worked better than I expected. It cut through the clay soil with ease. All I had to do was hold it and it did the rest.

The item is made well, but has a poor design element. As a shovel like tool, for busting weak asphalt or even used as a derooting shovel, the bit is just too short. So it makes work harder. I saw a longer version but does not fit the TR demo hammer. If you find a longer one, I would get that. Otherwise it works great.
