You probably could, but it would be pretty messy and not too accurate. You can't get the blade flush with the ground because of the guards on both sides, so it'd probably end up with an odd looking angled cut. If you want to cut out the bottom of a door jamb for flooring, I'd use a Makita Multi Tool with a plunge blade on it. The multi tool is also excellent for removing baseboards (something else you'll have to do when installing flooring) as the plunge blade will go through wood as well as the brad nails in baseboards.
