How many carriers with this rod? Where can I find extra matching carriers? See question 1 that had mismatching carrier provided by HD support. Is there another alternative?

Extra plastic sliders

My curtains are 100 inches wide and not enough white plastic sliders to support it. Could not find any in store. How do I get them?
Asked by: Aya
Any further answers to getting more of the sliders??????? My drapes look terrible with not enough of the sliders on the rod! No parts available at Home Depot, and no way to contact MSL to order them either!

Do these work with a draw string (for left/right/center pull) or is it hand operated with a baton?

Asked by: twystl
It's hand operated with a baton.

can you connect 2 8' sections for a continuous 16' length of travers rod?

I have a 9'-8" of slider with glass panel. I want to have 1 long 16' traverse rod to be able to open drapes completely off slider.
Asked by: kody
I think it would be possible. You can purchase mending plates to join pieces of wood, and there's room on the back of this rod (which is a half-round piece of wood) for a narrow mending plate, I believe. I think you would not want the junction of the metal hardware to meet at the same place where the wooden rods meet, because that would be a weak area. However, you could cut one of the metal tracks and put the two pieces at either end of your long wooden rod. I hope this helps. Good luck.

However, not enough plastic sliders for the drapes I have, and they sag. I should have returned it and reinstalled my old one, but I wanted matching rods in the living room! I would be happy with it if I could locate more of these sliders, they are custom design that is not available in stores here!!!! Help! Home Depot and Martha Stewart, help me find more so I can give a good review!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The right scale for a sliding patio door, and it's paintable, too. I looked for a long time for a decorative drapery rod for my 6-foot sliding door. I purchased an 8-foot wooden pole with a 1-and-3/8 inch diameter, but when I mounted it, it just looked too small in scale for the large span, and it sagged in the middle even before I hung the drape. (When the open drape stacks on only one side, there can be no middle support bracket with that type of rod.) The answer seemed to be a larger-diameter rod, or a decorative traverse rod such as this one. There was a limited range of choices available in a moderate price range. There are some very nice looking 2 inch rods available online, but some of them are quite expensive. This traverse rod was the answer for me. With the large finials, available for purchase separately, it had the right scale. The finish was quite nice looking, but it didn't go with my decor. However, I temporarily removed the metal parts, painted it, and applied an antiquing glaze, and now I've got a drapery rod that's just right for my room, at a cost significantly below one hundred dollars. With paint and glazes, the sky's the limit on your creativity! There's no draw cord. Mine had no pull wand in the box, but they are widely available, although I don't feel that I need one. The rod comes with the magnetized double carriers set up to part in the middle, but the carriers can easily be moved to the ends of the rod so that your drape can stack to one side.
