    I trimmed the door without any issue (about 2 inches). had to place in a new piece of wood glued in the bottom for support.

    Both are solid core and look the same, but the cores are different. Compare the SKU or UPC and specs. The more expensive door weighs about twice as much as the cheaper one, which is twice the weight of the hollow core version. The heaviest is best for sound reduction.

    what is the R value for this door. do you offer any high r value 6 panel interuor doors. these are door to atic storage.

    This door met all of my expections. It is a nice heavy solid door with a fairly deep wood grain texture. It was primed and ready for a finish coat of paint. The door was very easy to paint using a brush and roller combination. I gave it two finish coats for a nice finish. The door was square, and easy to install. I consider myself a do it yourself home owner.

    The door was in very good shape but the door frame had to very bad dents in it. Look like they strapped it down to hard durning shipping. I had to get some wood putty to fix it.

    Fine quality door, but I installed it to dampen sound, which it does MAYBE 3 decibels based on a test I did. I even stuffed the voids between the frame and the wall with rags, and caulked the moulding all around, and installed foam weatherstripping around the entire perimeter where the door meets the frame and the stops, and rolled a towel up against the floor gap. If nothing else, sound dampening seems to be mostly placebo, rrrgh.
