Shoddy workmanship

Shoddy workmanship. I've installed many exterior doors in my 25 years of remodel work, and this Masonite 32in full glass left hand inswing door is built poorly. Here's a list: The brickmould miters are separated and misaligned; The screws securing the hinge to the door slab are all driven in at a steep angle so that 1/8in of the screw heads protrudes; The header jamb is too long so that it is impossible to maintain the desired 1/8in gap between the jambs and door. At the top of the door it is a fat 5/16in gap and there is nothing I can do beside shorten the header jamb; And finally, I had to raise the adjustable sill sweep over 1/4in to get a seal along the bottom of the door. Unacceptable because the sweep is now too high and unsecured as it rocks back and forth with any foot traffic. This has been a nightmare and a lot of labor and money wasted.

Bought one of these doors and installed it today. All went well and we are pleased with the door....

Bought one of these doors and installed it today. All went well and we are pleased with the door. However, the screw cover plugs on the inside facing glass trim were missing. I didn't realize it at the store since outer facing screws were there.

Great door for the price! Huge improvement over the solid door that was in the kitchen. Very solid
and tight fit. Home Depot installed the door and the installer did a great job and was very courteous.

It's a great prehung door. Great quality for the money. I love the full glass inserts. It gives a nice modern touch to my house-except for maybe the dog nose prints. It keeps the outsid out and the inside in, including weather and noise.

I had a 15-lite door that was rotting, leaking hot/cool air, bugs coming in, etc. Decided to get a 1-lite steel door and I love the unobstructed view! This door has double pane glass and is sealed pretty good. When you close it, it goes "shoop." Can't say anything about installation but my handyman didn't have any complaints. One tip; go to the store and pick out your door yourself. I bought it online and they tried to sell me a dinged up door with black scuff marks on it. Had to cancel and go to another store for a better door. Took one star off for that. Otherwise, I highly recommend.
