The Master Flow ERV5 Power Roof Vent is a great overall investment in attic ventilation. It can quickly remove a larger volume of hot and/or humid air from your attic when compared to static ventilation. This in turn can help save money on your heating and cooling costs. The ERV5 model Power Roof Mount Vent can move air at a rate of up to 1250 cu. ft. per minute. It is designed for attic spaces up to 2200 sq. ft.
  • Energy efficient uses up to 55% less electricity than typical competitor's vents (based on GAF testing at 120-Volt)
  • Helps reduce energy costs and helps prolong the life of the roof and shingles

You will need some caulking and maybe some roofing nails long enough to go through however many roofing layers you have and into the sheathing.

Just installed. Outside temp 82F. Attic temp around 100F. Fan does not turn on till thermostat is set to 80 or below Why

Try leaving at just under 100 for a bit to see if it kicks on. If not then the dial may not have been correctly zeroed at assembly. I usually keep the thermostat at around 110 so the fans not running all summer
