The mirror clips will work on the back of a door. If the door has panels make sure you screw the mount on the flat area of the paneled door.
Specs say these support 10 pounds each and to use more if you have a mirror larger than 24x30 inches. I installed a 36x60 mirror but only used these to hold the top and used J-Mold Mirror Mount for the bottom.
These are the dimensions for the clamshell packaging. The dimensions for one clip are 1.75"H x 0.5"W x 0.375"D. The clip will hold a frameless mirror with a maximum thickness of 1/4" (or 6mm).
If installed using the package instructions, you should be able to push the TOP brackets up a little to free the top of the mirror and then lift the mirror out of the bottom ones. Instructions say to leave the top ones not tightly screwed in so that you can put the mirror in the bottom ones (which are screwed tight to the wall) and have the top mounts movable so that you can push them up and down to disengage or engage the top of the mirror. They have slots for the screws so that the mount can move up about 1/2 inch to free the top of the mirror.
