Q:Does the metal housing get hot to touch?

Answer This Question

A:  Yes, the housing does get hot during use. Please use the provided handles if you need to transport the heater.

by|Oct 26, 2021

A:  I don't touch the metal housing. Who would on a heater? the switches for off (750/1500) are on the bottom outside of the fan. easy to flip off, easier than a lightswitch.

      Answer This Question

A:  Yes it does. I believe it is shown in the pictures. Located on the opposite side of the power switches.

      by|Feb 2, 2021

A:  Yes it sure does, this mighty, little heater does everything a larger one does. Just be sure you do read the instructions. It tells you how to calibrate the thermostat.

Q:Is this good for a 2 car garage?

        Answer This Question

A:  I use mine in a small room 8 x 12' and it works okay, as for a garage I would consider using a larger model.

        by|Nov 18, 2019

A:  No 120v 15 amp space heater will heat a 2 car garage. Most garages are not insulated, and if they are, they are not done correctly or very well.

        by|Feb 2, 2021

A:  As long as the heater is stored in a dry environment and away from any flammable fumes, these heaters will work in a garage.

            by|Dec 19, 2019

A:  This model does not have an auto shut-off for tipping over. It does automatically shut off if it were to get above a certain temperature.

            by|Nov 12, 2019

A:  Yes, it does. I tested it myself.

What features that if liked about the Ventamatic "HeTR" are it's compact size as my workspace in the garage is cramped for space. Also, it has a thermostat so that it does not continual run or overheat. But, the other side it has the largest "do not remove" label about 6" long attached to the electric cord that I have ever seen just look at the photo below. It lacks an auto turn off if knocked over nor does it have instructions as to attaching the handle on top. That said it is a good heat producer and after all that is why I got it. The ceramic heating element is about 3.75 inches square but the heat out put is good. The temperature thermostat tricked me when I first plugged it in and turned it on. Nothing happened no fan no heat no nothing happening that I thought it was broken. But it was the thermostat setting low enough that the heater was just idle not broken. I just turned the heater knob up. All in all the pro and con ratio added up on the side of it being a good little heater. I would get it again and I would recommend it to you as I have said "It is a good compact heater with many useful features

This is a cute little heater, sits nicely on a metal chair and I use it outside on a covered patio that does get breezy. When it's just plain cold out, with not much wind, this makes it easier to sit outside with my dogs for 20 mins or so. I recommend it.

I have used this heater daily for one month. It is a great little heater that we use in many different rooms. First, it is small in size making it very portable and less waste at the end of it's life. Second, it has great airflow. However, it comes at a cost of a higher noise level. It's not overwhelming, but it is the loudest space heater we have ever owned. Third, the thermostat is very functional. After the room is heated to a comfortable level, we turn the thermostat down so it cycles on and off at the desired temperature. Lastly, the handle is very convenient for moving the heater around from room to room. Lack of a handle has been one of my biggest complaints about space heaters in the past. Another complaint I always have is the shape of these heaters. This one has a nice square bottom to keep the tip-overs to a minimum. They will happen, but at least it doesn't look like it will fall over just by walking by it too fast. The only problem I found was during usage. I noticed that the thermostat kicks off very quickly when used on high setting. I suggest using only low when using the thermostat.

This is a good little space heater that cranks out warmth on high, and warmish on low. It takes up very little space and meets my needs perfectly. It seems fairly durable, although I haven't dropped it yet so I can't say if it will endure my clumsiness. I use it in my draughty basement studio to warm my legs. I wouldn't use it to heat up a space, though, only part of a space.

Wow... a Mighty Heater! Instructions are meant to be read. This Model H1026 has great features – one is the auto shut off should it tip over. I tested it. Two heat settings; warms160 sf, thermostat, fan and has easy portability. Despite its perfect small size it puts out the heat which keeps the living area/kitchen of my 2 bedroom 5th wheel very comfortable on a try out; so it will definitely keep my bedroom toasty. It has eye appeal, is quiet, well made, and for a great price. I am very Pleased with this heater.

This little heater is "small but mighty." It takes up less than a square foot of space, but it really delivers the heat. I've been using it for a few weeks and it's exactly what I need in a basement apartment with concrete floors and walls. I had to order online for pickup at my local Home Depot, but that all went smoothly. I recommend it.

This wonderful little heater does a big job well! Arrived needing minimal assembly that could be handled by anyone having a screwdriver. There is a carry handle that should be attached to the heater body. I work in a medium sized office that seems to have heat issues in the winter. This quiet running heater fan, with adjustable thermostat does a remarkably great job on the lowest setting. Highly recommend it!
