Maytag freezer
Complete garbage. New two years ago now can't be repaired because condenser slow leak lost all freon. Maytag will do nothing. Customer service is terrible! Good luck out there.

Excellent choice-design-trustworthy name
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was purchased a month ago to add needed badly frozen food space to the small chest type unit. It is a breathtaking view of items that are easily seen with the bright lights and well designed storage racks, shelves and lower pullout basket.
It is so easy now to find what is needed at the moment and to inventory what needs to be
added on the next shopping trip.

Bought this Freezer August of 2015. This summer just before going on vacation we notice the food in the top of the freezer and the door was thawed but the stuff on the very bottom was somewhat frozen. The evaporator had frozen up. Called the "Maytag Man" who came out and diagnosed it to be the controller. That cost $125 for the visit and was told the part had been discontinued. With some research I found it had been superseded to a new part number but that was on back order. That part was listed at $89.99. So I placed an order for the part. Was informed this month that part number had been discontinued. Called Maytag parts. Was told the part was not in stock and was $360 and it would be about 2 weeks before shipping and I would have to send the old part back. Then I would receive a $60 credit. To make things worse the person on the other end didn't seem care about this. So to fix this is almost half of what a new freezer would cost and thats with me replacing the part. If the tech replaced it it would have been more than a new freezer. Will never buy a Maytag/Whirlpool again because Maytag/Whirlpool have no interest in standing behind their products. Freezer should have lasted at a minimum 10 years, that's why they're called Durable Goods. This freezer didn't even last 4 years. Buy LG or Samsung. My experience with then is they actually stand behind their product.

This is a replacement freezer. It was up and running in no time. The shelving in the door are spaced well and strong. The shelving is heavy-duty wire and fit perfectly. My only complaint is that there was no drawer/basket that pulled out--it's just a bin. I would have liked for it to pull out for me to see what (would be) in it so I didn't have to dig. (From the looks of the inside of this picture, I'd have to dig as the kids have already moved things around!)

Bought this freezer Jan. 15 2018. I didn't pay attention to the brand when I bought it, if I would have I would have passed on the purchase. The freezer quit working the second week of May. The pictures tell the story. I am very glad the thing didn't blaze up and catch my house on fire. Have called the service phone number several times, just to sit on hold waiting for someone to answer the call. Had to give one star on the overall rating, but the freezer isn't even a one star.
