19.7 cu. ft. Frost Free Upright Freezer in White

After just a few years of service, this freezer motor continued running, but no longer kept food frozen. Steaks, chops, ribs, and bacon all rotted. We have a GE freezer that is 25 years old still working. Terrible mess.

I bought a Maytag Frost Free Freezer 5 yrs 5 months ago like this Maytag and so far, I have lost 4 freezer full of frozen meats, ext and spent over $900 on it! 4 times it has lost its cold temps and food thawed. This has been an expensive lemon, considering all the food thrown into the garbage! Has anyone else had my experience! The first time Maytag sent me a $50 gift card to make me feel better for losing over a $1100 in food.

Complete garbage. New two years ago now can't be repaired because condenser slow leak lost all freon. Maytag will do nothing. Customer service is terrible! Good luck out there.

Four adjustable shelves and bottom bin with removable front. Good door shelves for storage also. I am happy with this freezer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Holds a lot of food wish it would have had a drawer at the bottom not crazy about the way it foods can be organized at the bottom My last upright freezer had an alarm this one doesn’t, hope it never matters .

Installed Dec 8, 2020. Make sure installer removes the plastic skids, otherwise that is sort of an ordeal and you need deep sockets to reach the 4 bottom bolts. The installation instructions don't mention these at all. Freezer works quickly. It froze my "cola in cup" quickly. My wife likes it and she appreciated lots of space. She was tired of reaching down into the chest freezer. If you have the loud motor buzzing sound during a heavy operation (frost free-ing mode?), I discovered, after some banging on the side, that if I pressed my hand on the side, the loud buzzing stops. Remove hand, buzz comes back. Must need some extra bit of reinforcement or a rubber dampener on the other side of the chassis. I solved it like below. Hopefully my wife won't notice it. Might become annoying to me after a few years.

The freezer is spacious inside, but doesn’t take up a lot of room. It runs very quietly. It was “freezing” cold within an hour of delivery and plug in.
