Q:Just installed this refrigerator and noticed there is a white piece of plastic about 2 inches tall and 7 inches long that is attached to the ice maker lever. The manual does not show this attached to the ice maker handle. Is for shipping or do I leave it?

Q:Hello Looking at this 25 cu ft Maytag french door refrigerator. Before I purchase need to know the exact depth of the case without the doors. I have a 32" clearance going from my foyer to the kitchen, If doors are removed what is the depth of the case.

GREAT Fridge!

Although a Maytag, the side by side installed with the purchase of our home wasn't cutting it. My wife USES her kitchen and grumbled about the long and deep capacity and always digging things from behind out with the side by side. Birthday Brilliance - replaced a perfectly good refrigerator (now used in Basement as overflow) with the French Door by Maytag as a surprise. It was well received and well loved...the ease of reaching and storing without digging makes a happier kitchen and the storage capacity, lighting and overall layout is excellent. I would recommend making yourself or someone you love happy with this purchase..and..the price was great by comparison to other brands.

Disappointing. Looks great, quality not so great
My wife summed it up best recently "it's kinda cheap". The only reason the value score isn't lower is because what we paid in 2018 vs now. Within the first 2 yrs the door gasket ripped, the plastic window on the large pull out drawer and door shelf cracked, and the writing wore off left crisper drawer. Recently a rust spot developed under the ice/water tray and both the freezer light and fridge LED light module went out. I'm about ready to swap out the garage fridge, 22 years old no problems!

Great looking and roomy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator at a local hardware store out of necessity, but am happy with my choice. It is very attractive and instantly improved the look of my kitchen. I also like the amount of space inside, especially in the freezer. The deli drawer is a nice feature, and functions smoothly. My only complaint is that sometimes the ice maker is a bit noisy, but it's not often. Overall I am very pleased with my new Maytag refrigerator.

Horrible
drawers cant hold.2lbs,they rest on plastic holders, brake easily, getting a part is a pain, no worth it.
now have a fridge with 1 drawer resting on the glass bottom shelf 1 broke & cracked the large lid of the bottom drawer when felt.

Nice Features

Flimsy Quality Materials
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this fridge for about a week and I cannot get used to the overall quality of materials. Drawers and shelves feel like if you're not very careful they'll break easily. Large deli drawer gives in when placing large or "heavy" products. Also makes a lot noises, which I understand are "normal". We only bought it because of its brand.

Appealing design

We decided upon the French door model. Love the features, including water and ice dispenser outside the doors. Only issue is the noise the unit makes. Very loud running motor. Not sure if this is normal or not.
