30 in. Gas Cooktop in Stainless Steel with 4 Burners Including 15000-BTU Power Burner

This is a beautiful cook top!! However I have noticed that one of my burners has discolored the first time we even used it. I need to call and figure out what has happened but it’s super easy to use! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

It will not boil water! I have had this now for two years. I have had the guys come out here three times. The 1500 BTU and 1200 BTU burners are virtually not adjustable. Turn the dials to min or max, the flame is the same. They have only one setting and that is low. I just spent 2.5 hours trying to boil 2 quarts of water in a four quart pan on high. I want my spaghetti now! The burners are only 7.5 inches apart. My old electric stove top had burners 10 inches apart. I cannot fry fish and simmer rice and steam broccoli at the same time. The pans do not center over the burners. They must be more than 9 inches apart. The instructions are useless. The pressure regulator does not match either of the two options. It says “Turn over the spring retainer so the “LP” is showing on the bottom”. Which is the bottom??? My regulator is mounted vertically. The 0.1 inch long long screwdriver is impossible to find. It is way too long. I had to make my own with a piece of wire. The two smaller burners can be adjusted. The others cannot. I figured out which size orifices to use for propane. I have a master’s degree in Electronics Engineering. The knobs stick up above the plane of the grate. When I fry pancakes, sometimes when the pan is moved over the knobs, they will turn. Gas flows out. When the knob is pushed down, the ignitor fires. There is a small explosion. Twice I have singed the hair off my forearms. When I make pizza, I put the pans on the grate to cut. The pans are so big they must contact the knobs. I was once mildly burned when the burner ignited.

Instead of replacing my damaged stove, I decided to install a cooktop. This model was a great choice and the right fit. I particularly like the flat grates. Also, upgrades the look in my kitchen because this cooktop has a high end look. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

So far I am very happy with my new stove top, other than the fact that a metal like label was placed right in the front "10 yr warranty" , it would not come off with my fingernail so had to pry it off with a butter knife very carefully but still scratched the stainless steel. What a stupid place to put a label & why wasnt it a paper/sticky label that could be removed easily. I am very careful with this appliance but seems to scratch very easy, hopefully it wont look bad in a yr or so. had my last one for 18 yrs, dont plan on buying one a year. The construction of the cooktop is solid. The grates are two pieces, very sturdy and sit on three raised contours that keep the grates in place. The knobs are made very well and durable. The burners light easily and the flame is easily controlled. Cleans fairly easily for being stainless steel. The grates may sit a bit too high, however, I have not seen this being an issue with pan and wok use, only with boiling water in a larger pot. I use LP and use the cooktop just about daily. I have had the cooktop for about 30 days now and would buy it again. Minor burn marks on the stainless gas rings, usually some stainless cleaner and a good scratchpad will take care of those.

I have been using this cooktop for about a year and has been very happy with the features, ease of use and quick access to the top of the range for cleaning. The stainless steel surfaces are very easy to clean.The grill is cast iron and has a very solid look and feel. The sleek look goes well with the rest of the counter and other appliances in the set.
