      Great size
      I love the size of the washer. However miss my front load so giving this to my daughter and getting the 5 cu ft front load Maytag. You will not be disappointed if you like top load washers. It fits two king-size comforters and a king size blanket.

        Terrible wash machine
        I purchased model #MVW8865GCO after moving into my new house. The thing does not clean clothes. It cannot handle a small load of 4 pairs of jeans. They come out in wrinkled balls, and when you stretch them out, in between the wrinkles, they are filled with dirt. It does the same thing when only loading a small batch of t-shirts. I have to result to using the blaster on my garden hose to second clean all of my garments. I have to do this with every wash. The clothes aren't excessively dirty, and the washer is never overloaded. My 30-year-old washer did a much better job.

          Overall Great machine
          [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this washer for a month now. I am so pleased with this purchase. This machine can hold about 20 towels in one load. It has cut down my laundry to 1-2 days a week vs. 4-5 days a week. Very quiet while on wash and spin cycle. I am so glad I decided to upgrade and purchase this maytag. I can't wait to receive my dryer.

              Didn't last two years before it broke
              Worked fine for about a year. It has since had to been taken apart twice to remove gunk and get a sheet unstuck from the agitator. When we removed the agitator, there was black gunk caked on it. We have been running the cleaning pods regularly so this shouldn't have been happening. We don't use fabric softner that often either. We have also been using HE soaps so again... not sure why this machine has such issues. Early on there was some weird corrosion happening around the fabric softer dispenser and we have no idea why.

                Lid broke off after 2 years of use
                Do Not Purchase This Washing Machine!! I purchased this washing maching in September 2018 from Home Depot - worked great until 2 days ago when the lid broke apart out of the blue. It will cost $475 to replace the lid and the part will take 10-14 days to arrive. The repairman said it looked the plastic near the hinge just broke apart, there were broken plastic pieces all in the tub, nothing else was damaged. He doesn't know how it happened and can't guarantee that it won't happen again eventually with a new lid. So now I have to go buy a new washing machine but it won't be a Maytag!! I can't believe this machine broke apart after 2 years -

                  Exploding Glass Top
                  Until today, I would have highly recommended this washer, but I cannot any longer. After exactly 2 years of trouble free service, the Glass Top seemingly exploded while I had a load of bedding in a wash cycle. Nothing fell onto the top, and nothing impacted it from inside the machine. For whatever reason, the top torqued or moved enough to shatter the entire thing. Maytag won't help me because it's been 2 years and this is not a warranty issue according to them. Now I am left to somehow get all the glass out of the washer, out of my bedding, and find a replacement top that I hope will not give me a repeat performance. You have been warned.

                    Awful !
                    The entire machine top rotted out in 5yrs , in a florida house which i live alone and half the time im not even there, of course its not under warranty.

                      Inside washer and dryer are massive
                      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a washer and dryer site and seen about a month ago and the size of These machines are amazing I did not think they would be as big as they are I needed to Wash my oversize king-size comforters and dry them at home as you can see they fit with room to spare.

                        New 6.0 Maytag washer
                        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the new set washer and dryer from Maytag. I was replacing my old set that were purchased back in 1986. That set was amazing, and they still are working. I love this new set, the color is beautiful, I love the amazing size and they work wonderfully. I'm hoping this new Maytag set gives me the same service as my old set. I love all the Maytag items. I have them all in my home.
