Q:I'm looking for an egg crate that is comfortable, has good support, probably medium firm to firm, and doesn't sink in, making it hard to get out of the bed. Also will with stand a 240lb person long term.

Mellow 4 inch egg crate mattress topper
Bought this topper for a new mattress that was too hard. Ordered in store and it shipped to my home, received discount and free shipping. Unraveled and placed on my bed for 48 hours, it plumped right up and measurements were exact. Was very comfortable to sleep on so far. It does not shift, stays put. Glad I got the four inch, needed it for orthopedic problems.

Mellow - 4" Egg Crate Topper
This product was on sale thru HD. Shipped to store for free shipping. Looking to add some comfort to a firm mattress without breaking the bank. For free shipping, I had the mattress shipped to store. Mattress topper arrived at the store in a timely manner. Unwrapped the mattress topper, & let it expand for a couple of days. Measured topper, and it was 4" as advertised. No overbearing chemical smells from unboxing but I let it air out and expand for a couple of days. Placed on top of queen mattress, and the size fits perfectly. Time will tell, as I've only had 1 night to sleep on the topper but I will say it was very comfortable, almost to comfortable. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase. To anyone who may consider this topper, I would unwrap, & let the topper expand for at least 3 - 4 days before putting on your mattress. I will update this post in a month or two, once I've had the chance to break it in, and give it a fair review.

This works well for a couch that makes into a spare bed - adds the extra "cush" that the couch surface does not have. I'm sure it will work for permanent use on a bed that needs extra comfort.
