    Q:Gutter Cleaning??

    Answer This Question

A:  The 442599/8639 Watering Wand using the hi flo pattern might do an adequate job on small amounts of dry leaves however it will not work on wet heavy build-up of leaves in the gutter. Their are cleaning wands that are specifically designed for gutter and other cleaning jobs. Melnor's "Extreme Cleaning Wand" will be featured at the Home Depot in February in the Spring Clean - Up section.

A:  You can use it for gutter washing but it may be too short and you may need to stand on a ladder. To clean the gutters I prefer a special nozzle available at HD. It's made of brass and provides more water pressure with less water usage.

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi Deborah, Rest assured that you are doing nothing wrong. The only attachment that is necessary for this wand is to attach it to the water hose. If the head comes off of the wand, it should screw back on to it. If the threads are stripped, or if the adhesive that secures the tubing to the threaded connectors has failed, return the wand to your local Home Depot for exchange. Melnor warrants this wand for 7 years. Thank you for asking. Let us get you a wand that will work for you. Travis

      The BEST watering wand around!
I use this wand every day at work! I water all the plants at Home Depot! Without this wand, I would struggle! The long neck makes reaching into your garden and hanging plants so easy to water. The head is adjustable as is the water pressure! It also has many settings, shower, mist, bucket fill, power wash, soaker etc. I also use this wand at home. I highly recommend it!

              Poor quality
Mostly cheap plastic. First one developed leak in handle housing after a year of light use. I foolishly got a second one that developed a new handle leak - this time at the valve - after 5 months. Very poor quality.

                shower head watering wand
need to upgrade quality of plastic as it does not take much effort to break, plastic not pliable enough.
