Hi Charles, thank you for your inquiry. The price is for a 4 pack of the lumber. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot
I bought a pack of 4 redwood 2 x 4's from Home Depot in 2016. The price then was one-half of what it is now. I thought the redwood price from Home Depot was very high at the time, so I priced redwood at several locations in California. Redwood was very reasonably priced in California back then. The problem was the very high cost for freight to get 4, 2 x 4's shipped to SW Georgia from California. It was several times the cost of the wood. Home Depot's price delivered to my home at that time was a bargain. It was one-half the cost of buying redwood in California and getting it shipped to SW Georgia. Yes, it was quite expensive but I specifically wanted redwood for a small project and Home Depot was the least expensive place to obtain it. It appears that the bottom line is redwood is very affordable if you live close to the lumber mills in California but not so affordable if you live near the east coast.
there were 4 in a package - 4-pack
Four boards in a pack.
There are 4 boards in each package.
Wow! the price has really gone up since I last purchased this product. If this pricing is correct I should have loaded up when I purchased this in March of this year. I should probably purchase this direct from the source.
This product is safe to use indoors. However it is treated with a very gentle and mild moldicide prior to being dried and surfaced.
