AnswerVery simple. Press the up arrow button to put the recliner in the reclining position, press the down arrow button to put the recliner in the regular seating position. Continue holding the down arrow button will lift the chair in the position to lift you into a standing position.

Received four sections (base, back, back sides or "wings") in a large box. I had called HD asking...
Received four sections (base, back, back sides or "wings") in a large box. I had called HD asking if this would fit in a sedan. Was told it would if back seat collapsed. There is no way this would fit in a sedan, seat down or not. Box states that original packaging required for returns but I couldn't figure out how to get it out of the box with ripping it open. Glad we like it!
Once out of the box it's extremely easy to assemble. Have had it for a month and it functions as described, very comfortable. Has been perfect for post surgery needs.

The motor and warranty
The chair was easy to put together, very light to move around in the house. The warranty is only three months. I got this for my mom back in April of 2020. She came home at the end of may and started using it she’s 82 years old. On December 31,2020 the motor went out and now I have to try and find a new motor for it or buy a new chair. She loves the chair so I’m hoping I can find a new motor for it and it doesn’t cost to much. I just wanted to let people know this. I will update later what I find out.
