Does this tile have to be sealed after installation to prevent wear and staining?
Asked by SS June 26, 2020Hi! Yes, installations of our Cemento Arte Snowcap should be sealed before grouting, 90 days after installation and resealed once a year. Is this the price per tile or per square foot?

Can acid be applied to this tile to clean up after installation?
Asked by SueD May 2, 2019Hi, SueD! No, we do not recommend using an acid-based cleaning solution on our Cemento Arte Snowcap as it can wear away at the sealer and potentially damage the surface. To clean this tile after installation and thereafter, simply use a mixture of warm water and soap. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652.
Can this be used for shower floors?

Is this item really $10 per TILE, or is it $10 for a case of tiles!?!?

Does this tile need to be sealed if used behind a cooktop? Will it stain?
Asked by KitchenDesigner May 26, 2018Hi KitchenDesigner, It is recommended that you seal your cement tile after installation and follow up with another coat of sealer every year. Sealing the tile before grouting can help prevent the grout from staining, but it is still very important to clean the wet grout as you go for the best results. Sealing after installation can also help seal the grout, prolonging the life of the grout as well. To the right of the “Product Overview” section, there is a section called “Info & Guides”. If you click the “Product Brochure” option, this will open a cement tile sealing guide. If you choose to go down this route, we would recommend testing the sealer on scrap prior to sealing the whole installation, as it could alter the appearance of the tile.
