It is an indoor glass tile. The tiles are not robust enough for out doors or being submerged.
Hi Help4this, Our Coppa Forest is set on a plastic mesh that can be easily cut to work for your installation needs. If you need to cut the chips of the mosaic, we would suggest using a wet saw with a diamond-tipped blade. We always recommend the use of a wet saw as it offers the best cut with the least chance of breakage. A trick to cutting these tiles would be to apply painters tape on top of the chips and mark on the tape where you want to cut. This will assist in any chipping you may encounter, even with a new diamond-tipped blade. After you finish cutting the tiles, you would want to sand the edges to smooth them down as they will be very sharp. This mosaic doesn’t have a trim piece that is intended to work with it. We offer 2 glass trims that might work for your installation, but these trims are not intended to work with Coppa. Our Tessera Series https://thd.co/2u7AgXp offers a white and black moldura trim option. These trims are significantly thicker than Coppa, so some additional work might need to be done to make this level with one another. Another option you could explore would be to look into Schluter Trim http://thd.co/1qBLqjw which can be found at The Home Depot. In regards to the grout, it all depends on what type of grout you are looking to use. Un-sanded grout wouldn’t be too difficult to use, while an epoxy grout would be fairly difficult to use. The reason for this is that epoxy grout has only a short amount of time after it’s mixed before it becomes rigid and unworkable. We would recommend the use of un-sanded grout for glass mosaics as sanded grout would have the potential to scratch the tiles. As you mentioned this would be your first time doing something like this, if this doesn’t sound like something you’d be comfortable with we’d suggest reaching out to your local contractor. They would be able to provide valuable assistance with what you would be looking to do with your project. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!
Hi Gus, This tile can be used to surround a wood-burning pizza oven! As long as this tile does not come in contact with direct flame, it is fine for this kind of installation. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!
Good Afternoon, You can use tile nippers to trim these tiles! You can also choose to use a wet saw with a diamond-rimmed blade or a dry cutter. The wet saw will give the straightest cut with the least chance of cracking or breakage. The tile nippers may lead to uneven cuts or chipping. To install this tile, you will want a small sized trowel such as a 3/16” trowel. Home Depot always recommends Custom Building Products installation materials. Their V-Notch Trowel http://thd.co/2d0gmcE is a good option for your installation. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!
Hi Lee, Being that is only a 2mm difference, a slightly thicker layer of thinset should be able to build these Coppa tiles up to match the depth. Home Depot offers installation and help, so you can always stop into your local store and ask there as well. Best of luck on your remodeling project!
Good morning,

We do not currently feature a specific trim piece to coordinate with the Coppa Forest, however, this is a mosaic tile that could be cut into strips for makeshift trim. Doing so would be fairly simple and the trim pieces could be cut into varying sizes to fit different spaces.

You may also consider our SuperTrim as an alternative to trim tile pieces. The SuperTrim can be applied by simply placing it between your grout and tile or screwing into your wall during installation. The pieces will meet end-to-end to simulate one continuous piece of trim and can be cut to fit the size you need. Follow the link below to see different options of SuperTrim:

http://www.homedepot.com/s/merola%2520supertrim?NCNI-5

As for getting a look at the tile before purchase, you can order samples of the Coppa Forest through our company's website at www.MerolaTile.com. Click on the division with the Home Depot logo and then, in the Model Number search box, replace the text with this model number: GDRCOFOR. This should bring up the product at the bottom of the page, where you can click 'Order Sample'. You may choose up to 4 samples for the cost of shipping and handling ($14.95, more than 4 samples are $14.95/group); sample swatches are approximately 6"x6". Samples of decorative and trim tiles or tiles sold by the piece are not available. Follow the "available at" link next to the item or "where to buy" tab to purchase these items.

We hope you’ve found this helpful! Thank you for your interest in our products!
Good morning, Most glass tiles are not recommended for floor use because of the risk of breakage and chipping. Some thick glass tiles are used for lightly trafficked floor areas, such as the edging of bathrooms, but this tile is 3/16” thick and thus is not suitable for any floor usage. Hope that helps!
Good afternoon, I would suggest calling The Home Depot’s customer service line, as they would be the ones to determine usage of any discounts or coupons. Thanks for your interest in our products and thank you for you or your family's service!
I ordered a sample direct from Merola. It was inexpensive and quick. I loved my tile, so I don't know about returns.
