The Merola Tile Metro Greek Key Matte White and Black Border 8 in. x 10-1/2 in. x 5 mm Porcelain Mosaic Tile is frost resistant for indoor or outdoor applications and skid resistant to suite your needs. This beautiful border tile features a smooth satin low-gloss finish and a white and multicolor design to help add style to your decor. Is there a white subway tile (3x6) with a edge tile for a shower wall that coordinates well with this tile?
Hi Jess, While we have a bullnose that can coordinate with Metro Greek Key Matte White & Black, we don’t have any 3”x6” subway tiles that will directly coordinate with it. We can offer a few suggestions, but ultimately the decision comes down to whether or not you feel they will work best for you. We have two variations for the bullnose that can coordinate with this mosaic. The first would be our Metro Bullnose series https://thd.co/2mxeZ6R; this is offered in both glossy and matte variations. The other variation would be our Metro Bullnose mosaic series https://thd.co/2D5Rlrm. We have another series that could coordinate with the Metro Greek Key Matte White & Black, but it would be up to you to determine if these work for your needs. We carry a 3”x6” subway tile and matching bullnose, but it’s not meant to directly coordinate with the Metro series. Our Park Slope Subway https://thd.co/2DbI5j0 and Park Slope Bullnose https://thd.co/2Do2emc are intended to coordinate with one another, so this could be an option to consider. Keep in mind that the Park Slope series is ceramic and intended for indoor wall use only, whereas the Metro Greek Key Matte White & Black is made of porcelain and can be used indoor or outdoor, floor or wall. Whichever direction should you choose to go in, please keep in mind that although some of these tiles are in the same series, they do not come from the same dye lot. As a result of this, the whites might not match up perfectly. We would recommend purchasing a single piece, or case, to see if it suits your needs. Yes, this is mesh backed.
Hi There Kristine, Our Metro Greek Key does come pre-mounted on a mesh-backing. This porcelain product is a great addition to your pool as it will not absorb water nor will it break or crack in freezing temperatures. We only suggest using tiles with mesh-backing if they are not completely submerged in water and only at the waterline. If a mesh-backed tile is completely submerged, overtime the mesh can deteriorate and loosen the tiles in your installation. I want to know how the one customer cut the hex tile that abuts the border? Too much to do with snippers
Hi Linda, To cut this tile, you can use a wet saw. This will help give the best cut with the least breakage. You can also use a score and snap, but this may cause some breaks or cracks.
