Our Metro Quad Glossy Black 12 in. x 12 in. Porcelain Floor and Wall Mosaic Tile instantly elevates spaces through a refreshing dose of timeless design. As an innovative twist on the classic mosaic, this floor and wall product is comprised of square shaped chips in black with a smooth surface. Glossy squares are arranged on an interlocking mesh to create a unique and seamless installation. This minimalistic geometric porcelain mosaic is unique yet simplistic enough to integrate into any design, ranging from traditional style renovations to modern home projects. Its impervious and frost-resistant features make this an ideal tile for both indoor and outdoor residential use, including backsplashes, bathrooms, showers, kitchens and fireplace facades. This tile is a perfect choice on its own or paired with other products in the Metro Quad Collection. Tile is the better choice for your space. This tile is made from natural ingredients, making it a healthy choice as it is free from allergens, VOCs, formaldehyde and PVC.

  • Grade 1, first-quality porcelain tile for floor and wall use.
  • 11.75 in. width x 11.75 in. length x 0.27 in. mm thick mesh-mounted mosaic. 1.85 in. W x 1.85 in. L pieces
  • Glazed smooth finish with a high sheen and uniform appearance in tone
  • P.E.I. Rating II is suitable for all interior walls and light foot traffic such as powder rooms
  • Impervious tiles have a water absorption of less than 0.5% for indoor and outdoor use and is frost resistant
  • No COF value available for this product. Please refer to the PEI and DCOF ratings for product durability and resistance.
  • Completely frost resistant for indoor or outdoor applications; use a latex-modified thinset for acceptable bond strength
  • Residential use only
  • Don't forget your coordinating trim pieces, grout, backerboard, thinset, and installation tools

          I love the simplicity of the Merola Metro Quad Matte White Porcelain Mosaic Tile. It is sturdy with a soft bright luster. It is very easy to install. I can use the amount I need by just cutting the mesh. It is also beautiful as a trim and you can make an endless amount of designs to brighten up any space. I am alternating the tiles with blue squares to make a heat proof surface on a counter. They would also be beautiful as a backsplash.

          Merola Tile Metro Quad Checkerboard Glossy Black/White 11-3/4 in. x 11-3/4 in. Mosaic Porcelain Floor & Wall Tile (9.79 sq.ft./Case), Glossy Black & White is very aesthetically appealing. It is a polished porcelain so the finish is very glossy. The grout line is narrow but not razor thin. I feel it is narrow enough that I will not have to worry about spills. The tiles are attached to a mesh backing so you do not have to place each one. I am sure some people think that is a given but I remember years ago when I discovered you do not have to hand lay each tile. I am using this tile to refinish the top of a table. I have not started the project but look forward to seeing the finished item.

          Excellent quality glossy, black and white checkered porcelain glass floor and/or wall tile by the Merola company. Each sheet contains individual tiles measuring about 1 3/4" square and attached onto a strong mesh backing. The job to install onto the existing tile floor and bottom wall was about 90 minutes. The tiles cut easily using a wet saw and a utility knife was used to cut the necessary strips of two rows of tile to make the bottom perimeter. Everything glued in place nicely with a pre-mixed thinset. The drain insert will be installed with a new 2" pvc type.

          This Merola tile is simply beautiful stuff! The black and white checkerboard layout works well in the bathroom. It's a natural there! One box of this will give you enough to do an entry forway (2 Feet by 5 Feet) that would be a great walk-in for dirty shoes. Honestly I could see it going wonderfully in a kitchen too! Not only beautiful, it also installs as easy as any tile floor I've ever used. There's a sort of mesh on the back which allows you to cut it to size easily, yet keep it properly spaced. Once in place, filling is also easy because the tiles won't move. It's just a great, easy to work with product!

          This is Merola Tile in a Metro Quad checkerboard style. It is glossy black and white square tiles in 11 3/4 by 11 3/4 inch sheets. Each sheet is 11.28 square feet and a case covers 9.79 square feet. The tiles are very distinctive and striking and reminiscent of tiles we witnessed in bathrooms and kitchens of the past. Each sheet of tile is individually wrapped and protected in plastic and cardboard with a direction sheet. In December of 2020 the case of tile was priced at $110.44 which is $11.28 a square foot. For a bright and impressive floor tile OR backsplash you would be hard to find a tile that catches your eye more, and I would recommend it.

          These checkerboard tiles are glossy white and black porcelain mosaic tiles. They are easy to form an interlocking mesh to create a seamless checkerboard installation. These tiles, when part of an overall design with other tile design, adds a border and delineation to break up large tiling plans. Using it as backsplash with granite counter tops, breaks up the continuous design of the counter top.

          This tile is just fine. Looks great. I have an issue with the ACTUAL size of the mosaic. It is definitely not 12" x 12", closer to 11 3/4". Framed for 12" x 12" shower floor tile, the 11 3/4" created more work and unnecessary short tiles. Would've been perfect if they were 12 x 12. BE AWARE!
