A: Yes! Yes! Yes! Be sure to equip yourself with either a carbide or diamond ceramic cutting blade. Using a diamond wet saw is the best way! Patience is key

A: Hi! Yes, our Twenties Frame can be cut to suit any installation preferences. We recommend using a wet saw with a diamond tipped blade as it offers the best cut with the least chance of breakage. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652.

Q:Mud room about 40 square feet. How many tiles do I purchase ?

A: Hi felicity,
For a space that covers 40 square feet, you will need to purchase a minimum of 96 pieces; each piece covers 0.42 square feet. This does not account for the grout joints between each tile. To account for the recommended 15% overage for cutting, future repairs, dye lot and caliber consistency, we would recommend purchasing 110 pieces.
To find out how many sheets you would need to order, you would have to divide the square footage of the space by the square footage per piece. When doing this, ensure that you round up so you have enough tiles (40/0.42 = 95.24 or 96 pieces). To account for the extra recommended amount, you should add 15% to the square footage, and then divide by that square footage per piece (46/0.42 = 109.52 or 110 pieces).
If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

A: You will need a minimum of 60-62 tiles, but allow for cuts & waste and add at least 10%, so purchase at least 66-68 tiles. This particular tile is actually meant to be a border tile and coordinates with others in the series.
by|Nov 29, 2018
A: This tile is designed to be used as a border around the perimeter of the room. Depending on how many right angle corners you have in the room, you will need to purchase one corner tile for each right angle. Assuming your room is 5' x 8', you will need 40 tiles or approximately 14 square feet to complete the perimeter.
You will need approximately 25- 28 SQUARE FEET of " field" tile to complete the middle of the floor.

A: It's hard to say how many tiles to purchase because it depends on how you want to use them on the floor. When designing my floor I made a rug/runner pattern, using 3 different tiles, (32 qty) Twenties Frame Encaustic 7-3/4 in. x 7-3/4 in., (4 qty)Twenties Corner Encaustic 7-3/4 in. x 7-3/4 in. and (28 qty)Twenties Petal Encaustic 7-3/4 in. x 7-3/4 in. Ceramic Floor and Wall Tile. To decide how I wanted to design my floor I made copies of them with my printer and laid them on the floor. This also helped me to determine how many i needed of each tile. For this rug pattern (10' 6" x 2" 10") I wanted to keep the rug theme going so I also made a small pattern in my bathroom floor next to my mudroom. I get tons of compliments and I absolutely love the tile.

A: Good Afternoon,
This absolutely can be used as a patio floor! This tile is vitreous, meaning that it absorbs little to no water and is frost resistant. The rest of the Twenties series http://thd.co/2aMqOx3 is also vitreous and can be used outdoors if you were looking to pair it with other items in the series. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

A: Hi Ann,
There are three solid field tiles that can coordinate with the Twenties Frame. They are the Twenties White, Twenties Black, and Twenties Grey. They are all part of the entire Twenties series http://thd.co/2jKdtv1. You can coordinate any of these items with the Twenties Frame. The colors described in the product descriptions are to help customers understand the colors within this particular tile, being as judging color on a computer monitor may be difficult. This does not mean the coordinating products will coincide with these descriptions. We do offer samples of these products adhered to 4.5” x 5” sample cards, so they will give a color and texture sample, not a full look into the pattern. If you have any further questions or want information about ordering samples, please reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

First lets talk about the stripe pattern of the design. Very modern very current. It will easily compliment any decor. The subtle shades of gray and white are very nice. I like the size of the tile it's not the usual twelve by twelve and will make a bold impact on the room. You will require more time for installation but the same process and the pay off is worth it.

These tiles were excellent without any chipping like some other brand encaustic styles. I reordered more & they shipped with the same lot number. Made in Portugal I love my backsplash in new kitchen. Stripes were ideal for my shaker style kitchen cabinets and added a trendy but classic modern style. Buy more than you need because it takes them 10-14 days to reship. You can always return what you didn’t use.
