2 ft. x 2 ft. White Integrated LED Drop Ceiling Troffer Light with 2400 Lumens, 4000K

Easy install and works great!

I am replacing several four bulb fluorescent fixtures in my office with these Metalux LED troffers. The LED fixtures have a much crisper white light than the yellowish soft white light of the fluorescents. Also, the published lumen ratings on both fixtures are similar, but the LED fixtures are visibly brighter. I am not an electrician, but installation into my drop ceiling was simple and took 30 minutes per fixture. I am pleased with the way these fixtures illuminate the office space. I will purchase more to replace old fixtures as needed. I am attaching two photos. One with a new LED next to an old fluorescent for comparison purposes. The second photo shows the fixtures after both had been replaced with LED.

We used this to cover large window wells. Easy to cut, put hinges on, attached at an angle so snow and rain would fall off. Looks nice

I bought this fixture to replace an old Fluorescent 2 x 4 ceiling troffer light today. It was super easy to install, although the directions were not very easy to understand if you don't know what you are doing. I am pretty handy so it was not an issue for me however. It took all of 15 minutes to install the light. When I flipped the switch after getting everything buttoned up I was amazed at the light output (lumens) and the light quality. This is an outstanding light fixture and being an LED light I am sure that it will last a very long time. If you're looking to replace those old Fluorescent light fixtures in your house or business, do yourself a favor and go get these. You will not be disappointed.

Easy replacement installation and plenty of light without being too harsh.

Hard to believe that much light can be produced at only 19 watts. Replaced a 2 x 4 florescent that was dimmer, yellowish, and consumed more power. Though I just haven't been able to adjust to the increase in the cost of things yet. I had to drill 4 holes to mount it to the joists as it is made to sit in a suspended ceiling grid. So many choices but this is a good solution where light is needed.

I got this light to replace an old fluorescent troffer in the changing area of a shower room. The moisture and humidity over the years had taken its toll, rusting portions of the old fixture frame and it was also annoying to have to replace the bulbs every year. This room is in a separate area away from my house, and when lights are accidentally left on in there, they tend to stay on for extended periods. I was anxious to find a fixture that would survive humid conditions, not require frequent bulb changes, be very energy efficient if accidentally left on for long periods, instant on feature and without bulb flicker. This product seems to do it all. Installation was moderately challenging, mostly because of the low ceiling height of my room. The height of this troffer was almost ¾” higher than the conventional fluorescent troffer that it replaced, leaving little room above my existing suspended ceiling to make the installation. If you’re attempting a similar replacement, I suggest you will want to check to see that you have adequate clearance before purchasing this product. Keep in mind that you need sufficient room to angle this troffer through your ceiling grid before it settles into place on the grid. I had to dismantle part of my suspended ceiling grid to make the installation. Wiring the unit was easy. The lumen output of this model is very modest. Although satisfactory for my small area (4 x 8), it cast a slight shadow in some upper corners of the room. I suggest a greater light output might be necessary for larger rooms. On the other hand, I expect this fixture to be substantially more energy efficient than the one it replaced, and it comes on instantly. Some reviewers commented that the lens cover was difficult to open, and I agree that without the benefit of directional arrows printed on the fixture, I too initially struggled to try to figure out how to open the cover. I figured it out by examining the fixture from the side, and then it was easy (slide the "tabs" using your thumbs). Were it not for the fact that the manufacturer placed their instruction sheet inside the lens cover, it would not have been necessary to open the lens at all. Although it is quite cavernous, there are no serviceable parts inside the fixture cover. The fixture itself arrived poorly packaged, and suffered minor shipping damage to one corner; fortunately, the damaged area was not visible once installed. I am pleased with the product and would recommend it to a friend.

This is a Layin troffer manufactured by Metalux. It is comprised of 2 rows of LED strips. It has a plastic diffuser. The installation was very easy, simply inserted it into my dropped ceiling grid, and bent the safety tabs over the grid runners. Electrical connection was standard hook up, using the enclosed connectors. When lit, it looks like 2 regular fluorescent tubes, but the output is greater and the cost is lower due to the LED technology.

Very well made fixture and easy to install. Goes into 2x4 drop ceiling panel space without any problems at all. Easy to follow directions for the knowledgeable do it your selfer. If not ensure final hookup is accomplished by a qualified electritian. The only thing needed extra to install the light fixture was a self supplied strain relief and a couple of wire nuts. Went right in and looks good, pretty bright light.
