SHP Series 3.5 ft. 32-Watt Equivalent 4500 Lumens 4000K CCT Integrated LED White Shop Light, Cool White (2-Pack)

I purchased 2 of these 42" Metalux LED 4500 lumens Light Fixtures for my 12' x 20' workshop. I mounted both of them in about a 1/2 hour. They come with all mounting hardware, very easy to install, light weight and just plug them in to a 120 volt receptacle. The amount of light is unbelievable, very bright and much brighter then 2- 48" fluorescent tubes. Very affordable. See my attached photo.

As you can see in the photo, this Metalux 43 watt 4500 Lumens LED light provides excellent diffused lighting of the bench and work area. I needed more light for detailed work and this Light really does it !! The hardest part of the light install, was finding a ceiling stud (using a stud-finder) and installing the supplied hanging screw loops. After that it was a breeze!! The two chains supplied were too short so I made up the additional length with Picture Hanging Wire. A handy AC Outlet was nearby on the garage wall, so it made for a very convenient location to power the unit. Also, love the light diffuser. Some other units do not use one and its very hard on one's eyes if you happen to look directly at the extremely bright LED's. Have had the unit installed for about 2 weeks and so far, the ON/OFF pull chain works very well. It was really easy to hit 5 stars on this one! Well done Metalux!! Highly recommended !!

Most homeowners have a basement or garage workshop. When I go to mine, I bring along my Bluetooth speaker to listen to some music or news. This light has an incorporated Bluetooth speaker. Two actually. One at each end of the light. The sound is ok. It’s not like it’s a Bose or JBL speaker. The sound works if you are in your garage or at your workbench. If you are trying to blast it so you can hear it at your pool in the backyard, you may be disappointed. The light works great. Bright. The unit is slim and stylish. The lines between the speakers and light bar are kind of crooked. Not the best look. If not for this I would have given it a 5 out of 5.

The Metalux SHP 3800 lumens, white, integrated shoplight with Bluetooth Speaker is a welcome accessory above my workbench. I was needing a light to put above my workspace and finding one with built-in speakers was pure bonus. I was anticipating needing to hardwire it so when I took it out of the box and saw the 5 foot plug-in cord I was pleasantly surprised. I like the option of surface mounting or hanging by chain. The 4000k color temperature is perfect and the expected 50000 hour life means this light should last a very long time. My experience with Bluetooth speakers has been from simple to infuriating and this product ranks as one of the best. It works with iOS or Android and my phone had no issues with seeing and connecting. I like having the option to use the speakers without the light being on. Sound was decent for a workspace. The only complaint I have about the light is the loud, annoying, unnecessary noise the speakers make whenever they connect to Bluetooth. The manufacturer needs to provide an option to reduce the volume.

This bluetooth, LED shoplight is pretty cool! First, it's LED so you get bright, consistent light with no hum, no warm-up time and no possibility of broken florescent tubes. The color temperature is perfect for a workbench or garage and it's VERY bright. Next, it has a built in bluetooth speaker. Your phone (or tablet or PC) connects very easily and quickly and the sound is pretty good. Some reviewers have said it sounds a bit "tinny" and it does, but that is the nature of a speaker system in a small package. This is not a killer, though, because you can adjust the treble on your media player and the sound is fine. There are two speakers for stereo sound. The automated connection voice is a bit loud but not a deal breaker. The light can be surface mounted or suspended by chain. The cord is robust and long enough for most applications. All in all: a good buy and pretty cool, all around.

I don't like the loud Bluetooth "pong" when turning the light on. Although the instructions say that the speaker can be disabled by pulling the string twice quickly, this is very difficult to do if it's hanging by chains. It does work plugged into a switched ceiling outlet and will turn on with the wall switch. However, it always plays the Bluetooth chime and then the connection sound VERY LOUDLY when turned on. The lamp puts out a warm colored light that isn't as harsh as the usual LED blue-white illumination. For the audio quality, it's decent for music or audiobooks and can be cranked up quite loud. I didn't hear any dropout that is common on lower end products. The annoyance of the start up noises makes this a Do Not Recommend for me.

This is an interesting concept. The built-in speakers on each end of the fixture actually sound pretty full for their size. It was very easy to pair to my iphone. The speakers can be used with or without the light. Pulling the chain twice will power on the speakers without the light. The light is decently bright, but I wouldn't use it as a permanent overhead fixture. It's designed to be easily portable and I think that's where it shines (pun intended), There is one thing I would like to change with it and that's the volume of the pairing chimes. They're much louder than necessary and I could not find a way to turn them down.

This single LED unit is okay with other light of the same size. The area of lighting area limited to the size of the room. The bluetooth speakers turn on by default. They are active and waiting for you to connect them to your bluetooth device. Over all it looks great and plugs in to any outlet. If your looking to hared wire the unit in, it would be a matter of removing the plug and installing from there.

This is a review of the SHP 3800 Lumens White Integrated LED Shoplight with Bluetooth Speaker 4000K Color Temperature. This is a lamp that provides about the same illumination as a two bulb fluorescent bulb at half the power. The color is very nice and natural. It illuminates my 14 x 15 work space pretty good. I would probably want two of them for doing work. It has two ways to mount. Using chains, or some clip on brackets. Really easy to hang this lamp. The sound quality of the speakers are ok. At it's loudest, it is not super loud, but over all this would be good for some back ground music or talk radio/podcast. It has pretty much zero bass. The single thing that would keep me from buying this light is the super annoying tone it makes when you turn the light on to let you know the bluetooth is operational. It is very loud and I cannot see anyway to turn it off or reduce the nerve jarring noise.

I was looking for a new shoplight to put directly over my workbench in the garage when I found this. It kills two birds with one stone in that it provides both light and music in one sleek product. I currently have two 4 ft. shoplights over the single car portion of my garage but it is getting hard to access them with all the stuff below them. I also wanted to have a light directly over my workbench for better lighting. This Metalux (made by Eaton) shoplight puts out 3800 lumens of light. The color range is 4000K which is a nice bright white without going bluish. It has speakers at both end of the light so it gives you a nice stereo effect when installed overhead. The speakers have no bass but the midrange and the highs sound great with zero distortion even with the volume at 100%. (You can hear them in my attached YouTube video clip.) The pull cord on the light is setup so that one pull cycles the lights and speakers on/off. Two quick pulls cycles lights on/off and speakers stay on which is a great design feature. It shows that the engineers put some thought into this light. This shoplight is super, super easy to sync to your phone, tablet, computer or laptop as long as it's in range and can accommodate bluetooth. I had it up and connected to my phone in less then one minute and it is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. This light comes with a couple different ways to mount it. I wanted it to be as flush against my rafters as possible and I didn't want the light to swing every time I pulled on the pull cord so I chose the one type of mount over the other. The two clips they give you to mount it flush with are super easy to install and the light fixture simply clips onto them. I had this light installed in less then two minutes mounting it this way. This light is rated to last greater then 50,000 hours and since it's LED it's great knowing I will never have to replace the bulbs in it like my other two current shoplights. This light is designed to be used in dry places and is Energy Star listed. It also comes with a 5-year comprehensive warranty. All in all I'm very happy with this light and I'm looking forward to getting years and years of use out of it. If you are needing a light and music for your garage, shed, utility room or workshop you couldn't ask for a better setup.
