Q:Do you have a similar model of the U shaped MAW12AV1QWT that would be available for a wall mount rather than a window as the specifications of this one are perfect to replace my wall unit. Most are too wide for replacement.

Lasted one season.
Never was impressed with the temperature of the cool air coming from this unit. Now this season it blows warm air until it faults and shuts down. Ran self check from the app and it list "refrigerant leak". So now I'm thinking it's been low/leaking refrigerant from day one which explains why it never blew really cold air. Other than it only lasting one season and not blowing really cold air I liked the design and how quiet it was. Hoping Midea stands behind their 5year sealed system warranty.

This thing is amazing! We have a 3rd floor bedroom, more like an attic, and it would get up to 80°, and there was nothing we can do about it. This unit can get it as low as 60° & maybe even colder. Super quiet, connects to smart phones, easy installation.

Lasted one summer.
Crappy company selling another crappy, in my experience. Bought on December 28, 2021, ahead of summer due to discounted price. Used ~20 times in summer 2022. When switched it on again next year in May 2023, AC display showed PC-00 error. Midea support said, “Sorry, out of 1 year warranty!” I have older ACs still running strong for ~15 years. Won’t recommend and won’t fall for discounts ahead of actual use. I believe these companies are notorious for doing this to run you out of 1 year warranty.

Suggestion to help keep your privacy
Replaced a 10yr old window unit, can't believe how quite and efficient this unit is. Just a warning when installing in wider windows because it doesn't have side fins, so you lose privacy when blinds are closed. I solved they problem by using window film.

Possible Design Issue - Unit Not Cooling
I have the 12,000 BTU unit and it is only putting out 74 degree air. Absolutely brutal here in Florida. Has to be some.kind of design issue with this model based on the reviews with similar issue. I have a 30 year old Fedders window unit back at my shop office and it will turn you into an ice cube in 10 minutes. I'm sitting in my living room with this Midea on for several hours and I'm sweating right now, which is not a surprise with it putting out only 74 degree air. Very disappointing.

Cute but not strong enough
I was really excited to upgrade my 8,000 BTU windmill AC to something larger and just as sleek. I went with the Midea 12,000BTU because of its design and hopes that it would give me more power and create a colder environment. As many others in this review board, Unfortunately it's underwhelming in my 500 sq ft space. On warm / hot days the unit can't bring my apt lower than 75 degrees. It's currently 71 outside now and my home temp is 73, with the AC at 70. I've cleaned it, jiggled it and even ran it for hours to no avail. It's been a constant frustration as I was hoping to save energy but I feel like I have it running on all of its highest setting for hours only to get below average results. Have to add that I love the look and it was easy to install.

It's good overall. But there is a minor issue.
Overall is pretty good. I am going to skip to the issue part. I used it normally , but it randomly started a clicky sound. I checked around, it is next to fan outside. Shown in pic.
Sometimes, when ac is working, the fan will hit this sticker bend. Sometimes won't. (I nearly turn it off. it is on almost all the time.)
I am not sure should i call someone to fix this problem or not, or what should I do.

Easy Install
This AC was easy to install. It blows cold air, just what I needed for my garage. I like to work on things in my garage and now I can during the hot AZ summer. I do need to be directly in front of the unit to stay cool enough.
