This battery fits the compartment of the control box for the Mighty Mule gate opener. Additionally, the compartment has an additional space for another battery and electrical connectors to use the additional battery. The batteries are continually charged by an electrical hook-up I have going out to the unit. It has the capability to be charged by a solar panel, but I have not opted for that. The gate did not open because the old battery was over 5 years old and needed replacement. The gate has worked satisfactorily for the week I have had the new battery installed.

My first two gate batteries lasted less than 30 months, so I'm not real satisfied, they on a 120 volt hard wired system, not solar.

I would recommend this battery for anyone with a battery power automatic gate opener, long lasting charge, easy to change out old battery with new one.
