Q:I have the FM134 opener. Can this three button (mmt-103) learn the code by using the end button for one gate and the other end button for the second gate.

I've had a Mighty Mule gate opener for a couple of years now. I got this three button opener to place in my car so I could use the one button opener from the house. This three button opener is nicely designed and works well but there are a couple of issues. First, the range is significantly less than my one button opener. Second with my open button opener, after I push the button, I can push it again to reverse direction. With this three button opener, once I press the button, the gate has to open completely before it will accept the signal to close. It's not a big deal but I decided to use this for opening the gate from inside my home. I'll keep using my one button remote from my car.

My old mighty mule gate opener was being held together with zip ties and a strap and took up way too much space in my center console. This new one has three separately programmable buttons so you can open multiple gates or garage doors with one remote. Instead of the old system of setting switches you just put it in program mode, select the button you want to program and copy the code from the other remote. It will give you a signal when the button is programmed. I needed to touch them together to copy the signal but it was fairly easy. Now I can get in my garage and my in-laws gate with the same remote. I can also give that old remote back to my father in-law. Being able to set the clip to hand the remote two ways makes it fit in my center console easily and I can select the button I want by feel.

We have three gates on our ranch. Our work truck is older and does not have built in remote buttons. We had several openers attached to the visor and had to keep up with different batteries. It would happen that one battery would go out at a time, making it hard to travel all the way through our place. This 3 button remote makes it so much easier when entering our front gate driving all the way back to the shop past the house.
It is very easy to program even while standing on one leg, closing one eye and patting your stomach and head at the same time. It really is not a big deal.
The best part was when we went to see how far the signal made it from the button remote to the gate opener. We were across a 4 acre pasture before it started to work intermittently. It still worked past that, but not as reliable farther away. You can see in the picture how far we were when we were still able to open the gate.
It is a lot thinner than a lot of the openers out there, at only about a 1/2 inch.

I am using this as a replacement for a lost clicker for my Mighty Mule gate opener. The Mighty Mule system works great and is unusually easy to learn the clicker. I am only giving it four stars because of the short range. You have to be within about 20 feet for the clicker to open the gate. The best part of the programing is its simplicity. You just open the control box, hold a button until the light flashes and then push the desired button on the clicker. The clicker has two other buttons in case you have more than one gate or a garage door.

This review is for the Mighty Mule MMT103 Garage Door/Gate transmitter.
Unfortunately, when I ordered this, I thought it was a universal garage door opener. That it not the case, it's built specifically for use with Mighty Mule Garage Doors and Gates. It will only work with 318Mhz Code Safe and dip-switch receivers.
I can't really fault the company or the transmitter for this, it was my fault for not paying attention when I grabbed it.
Other than the fact that it won't work with my garage doors (which was the reason I bought it), it is a nice size and weight, and has 3 buttons that can each be set to open a different device or multiple devices each.

Had to buy a battery holder. Plus had buy clips to attach to field fence. Plus remotes are not working every time. One week old.
