My digital protractor measured it at 90.0 degrees. This square is heavy gauge metal with smoothly rounded edges making it comfortable to handle. It weighs a robust 13 ounces. It's 12" long and about 8" wide. It is labeled the same on both sides. There is a plastic edge guide on each side of the square. The 90 degree protractor is marked in degrees and is pretty easy to read to the nearest degree. There are rounded holes for making layout marks every 1/4" on the upright. Slots cut into the square let you mark two portions of a 30 or 45 degree line which can then be connected with a straightedge. The included card illustrates how to use the small holes in the base to layout euro style hinge mounting holes in cabinet doors. The product description says "Built in retractable edge guide", but I can't figure out what it's referring to since there are no movable parts.

Unfortunately, they did not specify superb quality in manufacturing. The blade is steel and very sturdy, but it is not perfectly straight. These should be easy to adjust for square because of the clever design. The black plastic clip allows you to loosen two screws adjust the square, then lock the clip in place. That would work beautifully if the blade was straight, but it is not. You could straighten the blade by sanding it on a surface block or very straight belt sander, but we should not have to do that. I love the design! But it is not made well enough to use as-is.

I am just an amateur, using it to build flower boxes and it is the perfect size. What I like best is the small holes at each quarter inch so I can make marks easily for measuring and it is marked on both sides, so if you need to flip it, no problem!. There is a 90 degree protractor built in which makes it easy to mark angles and a 30 and 45 degree cut out. It is quite heavy, about 12-13 oz. and 12" x 8". I haven't quite figured out what the purpose of the plastic edge guide is for though. There is a small instruction sheet for shelf and door guides..rather useless in my opinion, but it may help someone.

This Milescraft framers square is one of the nicest squares I have seen.I have plastic and aluminium squares but this one has so much more.It is made of steel and painted silver with black numbers and lettering that shows up well.It incorporates marking holes every 1/4 inch for easy marking and has markers for 30 and 45 degrees. It has 0 to 90 degree radius built in for easy use.It has markings for 26mm and 36mm hidden hinges as well as for shelving spacing in cabinets. It has all you could want in a square and more and I cant recommend enough.

It can even be used as a guide while scoring, which makes it easy to measure, score and snap off. It is also a good size for measuring and cutting planks. The holes are a great feature so you can mark the material you need to cut. It is also easy to measure angles so you can set a table saw to the precise angle. It is accurate, easy to read and made of durable metal. It will make my flooring project a lot easier!

It is great for cabinet making and making straight lines when marking boards for cutting. It can be used for laying out shelf mounting hardware and hinge placement for cabinet doors. It is made very well and can hold up to any abuse it may encounter. You can also make circles or arcs with this framing square.

I really just needed a straight edge and a 90 degree edge, but this has all these extras. I can do radius, 45 degrees, and it has a cap edge to snug up against things to check angles. It is kind of neat. I like how it has holes for marking points and it seems pretty rugged like it will last for a while. This quite the square.

I lived for years without this thing, but I had no idea what I was missing. If you do any kind of wood work, you'll be amazed how often you reach for it and can be used to mark bigger lumber. for lay out use, it completely goes across bigger sized lumber, which is a plus. I'm sure I will use it for many years. Should last forever if I don't step on it.
