Product Overview

The Milwaukee Hole Dozer Hole Saw features Rip guard, the strongest tooth form in the industry, backed by the Rip guard limited lifetime tooth break warranty. Each tooth is built with more steel behind the cutting edge for added strength. The Rip Guard warranty on tooth breaks is a first for the hole saw industry. The added tooth strength along with 8% cobalt give added life to the teeth, allowing for increased productivity on the jobsite, as well as continued hole quality. The Hole Dozer includes Plug Jack, an all access slot design that allows for full access during plug removal. The Plug Jack gives access lower into the cup for thick material and higher towards the teeth for thin material. With multiple positions to apply leverage and better plug access, Plug Jack increases productivity and eliminates wasted downtime between holes. For fast, tool-free change-outs, use Milwaukee's universal Quick-Change Arbors. 49-56-7210.

It said it could cut through sheet metal…wrong
Before buying the 16 pc set, I reviewed the types of material these bits could cut through. I saw sheet metal listed and bought the set. If by ‘cuts through’ we mean scrapes, then it did the trick. In short, I’m sure these are great for wood but if you’re looking to cut through thincresibly thin sheet metal then I would look elsewhere.

Hello MikeB NJ- We appreciate you taking the time to review your 2" Hole Dozer™ Bi-Metal Hole Saw. We have reached out to you via email for more information. Thank you - The Social Team
    Great Hole Saw
This is our second one, we needed a smaller size for some other projects. It's only been used on wood a few times but feels rather strong and sturdy like it will last us a long time. We absolutely love the holes on the side that make it very easy to remove the plug that may get a little stuck sometimes. Overall we love this brand and their products, this being one of them.

    Great Hole Saw
No complaints here, so far it's been good. We've only used it a handful of times but it seems pretty strong and sturdy like it will last rather long. It's easy to use through various types of wood, making it's way through a few nails at didn't see before starting. It's a very nice touch to have so many holes on the sides to help you be able to remove the plug easily.

    Quality hole saw.
I do home remodel. So I use holesaw‘s quite a bit for different applications for wood or metal. For appliance installations I use them a lot. I rarely use these bits for metal. But they have worked out for me on thin metal applications. When I run lines for dishwashers when I have to drill into peoples cabinets they want a very clean looking hole. Especially if they are new. This whole saw did a good clean hole and has done several for me already. It has stayed sharp but I am careful not to try and ruin it. I actually own the entire set already. Because Milwaukee in my opinion makes pretty good hole saws. They are worth the money. I’ve put a lot of them through their paces. And this 1 5/8 is no. I did bump into some finish nails and I cut right through them. All the teeth stayed. I believe they are made of carbide so I know this things gonna last. My favorite thing about it is it doesn’t get stuck to the adapter that goes to the drill. Milwaukee thought that out good and I like the holes so it can lock on the bit. For me it’s a must have on the job.

Great hole saw that cuts a clean accurate diameter hole
I have not used this for a 'real' project yet but tested it in the type materials I expect to drill with it, concrete board and wood. First the quality. Carbide teeth are sharp and nicely welded to the metal sheet. The hole saw appears to be made from what I would call something like bandsaw stock that is cut to length rolled and welded. The weld is barely visible, and teeth are evenly spaced. When drilling cement board, the hole saw cut clean and very quickly. Wood (dry oak) was a little more challenging because there is very little set the teeth which required pulling the HS back from the cut frequently to clear saw debris. By doing this, I was able to cut a clean hole without burning the wood. I don't think you can go wrong with these hole saws from Milwaukee.

    Sharp Carbide Teeth
The Milwaukee 1 1/16 Hole Dozer Carbide Hole Saw has sharp carbide teeth that will give it a longer life than other hole saws. It cuts to a depth of 1.62" in a variety of materials: metals, wood, aluminum, plaster, cement board, fiberglass, and drywall. I purchased this to install bi-fold door hardware into LVP flooring. The LVP flooring is 8mm. It cut through it fast, and clean. It also left a nice little chunk in the arbor that I was able to clear easily with the All-Access slots. That alone makes this hole saw priceless. It also cut through scrap wood quickly, and cleanly too. I did have to buy a 3/8" shank small hole saw arbor. It was around $17.00. It is a better deal to buy the hole saw with the arbor attached.

These teeth will cut anything !
This Milwaukee hole dozer is just that, I set it up in the drill press and was amazed at how well it sliced through anything. The are so may teeth that it just made shavings out of anything that I put in the drill press and then I put it on the hand drill and cut into a plastic circuit breaker box and the fine strings just poured out of the tool. The hole saw has more large holes in the sides than normal and I found that they were there to let the fine shavings out faster so that the hole saw does not fill up and you would have to stop and clear everything by hand. I am definately going to have to get a full set of these and some cutting oil.

    Nice hole saw very sharp
We're reviewing a Milwaukee 1 5/16 inch hold dozer carbide hole saw. I found my ryobi half inch compact 18 V drill had plenty of power to push this whole saw through 2 by 4 lumber I could have gone over 3/8" thicker material if I needed to I did have to back it out a few times and clean the chips from the flutes though. But with carbide tips on the teeth it allows you to cut concrete fiber board or fiber shingles without destroying the saw like you would if was just bi-metal. It should also cut though lumber with nails in it as well

Great Hole Saws - Excellent Warranty - Made in USA
These are very nice hole saws with a great lifetime warranty (tested - Milwaukee is quick to ship a replacement if you break the teeth). Even Made in USA! I have two master kits that between them cover almost every size but not this size, and it already has come in handy since adding it (it fit comfortably in one of the Milwaukee storage cases as well). Just get it. Won’t regret it!
