The 6-32 screw-cutting hole is also labeled "LOOP" and one of the photos shows the stripped end of a wire through this hole. Is this used to put a loop in the end of a wire to prepare it for the screw terminal on a switch or receptacle? If not, then what is this photo showing? Thanks.

Where are these made/assembled?

I honestly don't know. They work great for me. I'm not an electrician, but am an avid DIY'er, and do follow all current code. I have rewired two houses and installed both interior and exterior garage subpanels. My old strippers were no cutting it (no pun intended). These have made stripping the insulation off of romex so much easier that the ones I've used in the past and the price was easy on the wallet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly surprised I’m HVAC tech for the last 26+ yrs, I switched from Klein initially for the cost, these are really great tools, I just love the strippers, lineman’s, insulated screw drivers and crimpers. Unbelievable love them and so very impressed

When I bought this at the Depot I didn't look at them carefully. This is the ONLY tool besides a Milwaukee Philips and flat blade screwdriver you will need! Previously to strip the jacket off of 14 and 12 Romex wire I used another tool. This strips the jackets without any effort or force. (Cleanly without damaging the isulated wires.) My side cutters remain in the bag, it cuts wire effortlessly. The plyer end grabs and loops the stripped wire perfectly and easily closes around the screws. It cuts #6 and #8 screws without effort. (I don't need lineman's plyers. The handles are heavily insulated (shouldn't use on live wires though). If it only had a Philips and flat blade, you wouldn't need another tool!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 90 day review Maintenance field 90 day review. They have a good grip and dont pinch or flex while stripping/cutting wires. They are holding up ok.. The solid cutting point is showing wear on the cutting edge. Mind you im only using this for electrical wires. The laser etched grid pattern on the inside of the tip got worn down while i was bending/pulling a fish line. It has lost some of its grip because of this obviously. The locking mechanism started leaving the pliers open a little bit after use. Although its still keeping the jaw locked its something to be picky about i guess. The stripping portion of the pliers works flawlessly and shows no wear. Slightly overpriced in my opinion but where else am i going to get a matching set of red and black milwaukee tools :) I do not use these pliers daily like an electrician but working in maintenance they are holding up well so far. note: specs say 10in length i measure 7.5in

They don’t twist while cutting wire like some other strippers I’ve had do.. The tapered tip is handy for twisting wires. Just a good solid tool, great job Milwaukee!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I buy this one over and over again. Best set I've owned yet. Tried the newer version, same great performance but prefer this one over the newer one as the locking handle feature more one hand operating.
