I have several pairs of Milwaukee snips. And I admit I am a Milwaukee fan - love their stuff. For most people, the straight, left and right cutting snips will handle most of their needs. However, if you need to cut a work piece in place, work in tight spaces or have to work overhead, these can come in really handy. I find that once I have the right tool for a job, that tool will get used more than I ever anticipated. Having the right tool saves me a lot of aggravation – which when you stop to think about it is the real cost benefit. Unless you use them every day, they will likely last you a lifetime and make those frustrating jobs so much easier. These things are the same great quality of my other Milwaukee snips. They feel good and solid in your hand and the chrome moly blades give a nice clean deliberate cut. No regrets and no more mangled edges!

GREAT Snips - BUT... These are great cutting snips. The grip is comfortable. With the blades fully open, you need a big hand to reach. The leverage makes it very easy to cut. Cutting something like metal wall studs - they cut like butter. The "but" in this review is the metal safety latch that locks the snips closed. It is conveniently located, and can be operated with one hand - BUT - the latch is too loose on my snips. It will flop open and closed as you tilt the snips. If you hold the snips with the blades down, the latch will fall closed, and when you cut, the latch will catch, and you won't be able open the blades. To use them, I tape the safety latch up so it won't fall closed while cutting. I'll attach a short video showing the "floppy" safety latch. Other than that, I do like these. They cut great, feel sturdy, and hopefully will last a long time. So I have to rate these overall as a good solid "average".

I cut aluminum for fences, and this tool is fantastic! I am always bending my wrists trying to get on top of the fence to cut it and this snips makes everything so much easier. It has serrated cutting edges that cut through like butter. I can cut slivers of aluminum 1/32" and the metal never folds between the jaws like every other pair of snips that I ever had. Anybody who's done much work with tin snips will know exactly what I mean, and will love these snips.

(What's this)
The Milwaukee left cutting right angle snips can be used with the blade up or turned down, for use in tight places. I used these to cut down a door kick plate, although on an open floor I was able to get right over top of the cutting line with good leverage. They have seemed to improve the locking mechanism, others won't stay closed or are hard to manipulate, these are nice and won't pop open when you throw them in your tool box. I have also used these to cut heavy banding, better than a knife or scissors. Used them to cut very heavy cardboard to fit recycle bin. So they are not just for metal. Try em !
