No all bits are installed in each end of shafts. You just pull out flip it around and re-insert.

Do the bits store inside the handle?

Asked by Helen November 21, 2020

Answer

No, they do not store in the handle as the handle is solid. On this model the bits are only removable from the tip. Milwaukee does offer several other flip type screwdrivers that have two straight blade and 2 phillips bits included and stored in the tool.

Are there other bit sizes available for this? I already own the screwdriver but would love a T-20...

Answer

Yes, you can buy other bits that will fit in this. Although I don't think you can buy just one, might have to buy a package of them.

Overall a good multi-bit screwdriver.
I’m an Electrical Tech at a Forging Company so it’s safe to say my tools see their fair share of abuse from work as well as the dirt/grime that comes with it. I decided to try this screwdriver instead of the Klein 11 in 1 that I usually buy. I replaced so many from worn out nut drivers and broken bits I got tired of paying for them. Our company purchases lots of Milwaukee power tools that hold up relatively well for the most part so I had high hopes for this tool. I’ve probably been using it for about 6 months or so and just now the nut drivers are starting to get slightly worn and I just broke the tip on the large flathead bit. For the most part it’s been good, the one thing I don’t like is how bulky the handle is. I have to carry it with me all day and it’s sort of a nuisance being in a pocket all day. I got about the same amount of use out of it that I would with a Klein. I definitely think for an average Joe or do it yourself kind of person this screwdriver will last you a long time. I’m not sure what the warranty or return policy is on one of these but I will definitely consider trying another.

The screwdriver works well across all aspects it provides in it's design. I use it daily as a HVAC Service Technician. I find it hard to find anything wrong with this driver it compares very well if not better than my Klein which I think it's an 11in1 driver I don't remember. But the reason I say that is because of a couple of reasons for one it has the loop maker my Klein does not so, maybe they have a new one that has it but I do not. For two its designed so the handle is a little bigger so for my hands I get morr surface to grip and turn. Also the triangle design is similar to my Matco screwdrivers which allows you to get more torque on the driver. For three its Milwaukee and I love their products and quality so far. The last one is kind of a con and a pro the bits don't slide out as easily as the Klein which I like because when I'm really putting pressure on it to screw something it especially with the torx the bit it can get wedged in the screw which when I pull the driver back the bit can fall out and wherever I'm working in or around the unit it can fall in places I can not access without taking about everything around it so that I like but it still happens just not as much as my Klein. I know it needs to be loose so you can switch it easily I just wish there was a way to lock the bits in and the insert peices the bits go into. Other than that an amazing product and I recommend it.

(What's this)
Milwalkee Screw Driver: The Milwaukee 11 in 1 Multi-Tip Screwdriver with square drive bits is a very handy screwdriver. This tool allows you to keep 1 tool in your pockets that will handles the needs of most tasks. The only drawback of this tool, is the handle. It is a little larger and works well for large or extra large hands, for people with smaller hands it might be a little harder to grip. However it does have a nice grippable handle with rounded corners for the four sides. The screwdriver comes with 8 bits and three nut drivers for most households or commercial tasks. The shaft also has a wire cutter and a hole in the shaft to get perfect bends in the wire for attaching to light switches plugs etc.

There are many places where a power tool just does not work. Tight spaces, overhang positions, or you just have one tool. This is the must have to save having a full screw driver set. It comes apart to reveal the various drivers / points. This will cover about 85-90 % of fastern or dismantle tasks you come across in the average home. Most tools of this type come with some sort of pocket revolving slot in the top. Making it easy to lose a piece. This is harder to do with this unit as you have to put all the pieces back in order to change a head. Losing pieces is the main reason I have to replace tools of this type. It is very well made and should last years. Great addition to my tool drawer.

(What's this)
I love this tool! The feel and weight in-hand is good. The handle shape and the rubber partial coating makes it really easy to get a grip and twist. The rubber coating is also the one down side for me—I put my hand tools into my back pockets often, especially when up on a ladder; the rubber coating means I have to be a little bit more intentional about it when I put it in my pocket, but that’s a small thing for the convenience this tool offers. The nut drivers are really well integrated into the tool. I like that the ¼” on one of the inserts is really thin-walled, allowing me to get to recessed nuts on a few motion-activated floodlights I have been switching out. That’s a small thing, but I like not scratching the painted surface on the fixture with pliers. They put a small hole in the shaft for bending a loop in wire—it’s such a small thing, but it’s so handy. Regular drill-driver bits will fit in case of blowing out a bit or dropping one, but they sit a little bit deeper than I’d like. That’s not a big deal, and I have yet to strip out a bit, but as will all bits they fail eventually. Luckily the tool comes as a two-pack, and they’re inexpensive enough to replace when needed. This is going to be my go-to small Christmas present to people this year. It’s stocking-stuffer size if you give just one, and keep the other for your kitchen drawer, and get another set to put in each glove box you’re around, etc. I keep one in my closet for the little things on that side of the house. It sounds lazy, but there are things I have disregarded because I didn’t want to go to the other side of the house to grab a screwdriver from the garage. Note that I can’t find the wire stripper on this iteration of the tool. I checked Milwaukee’s website and I see the wire stripper on the handle of the former version, but I’m partial to my favorite wire stripper, so this isn’t a big loss for me. I’m a big fan, and come Christmas time, we’ll have more fans in my immediate circle.

One of my favorite tools and go to items in my tool bag. I manage over 20 units of multi family and use this on many jobs from appliances(nut drivers) to wire stripper(I like a dedicated one but at least it has one) and your typical flat and phillips head, both small and normal(#2). It's a little hard to lose the bits but it is possible. For under $10 each, it may be easier to just buy a new one. If you are somewhat organized, you won't have a problem losing it. I rubbed mine against a strong magnet to magnetize it. Brush it in one direction over and over for 30-60 seconds and it should remain magnetized for a few weeks to a few months. I also have another heavy duty set from Milwaukee for other jobs that require a thicker or longer flat/phillips head. My only complaint about this one is the handle is kind of fat, so it may not fit into some tight spaces such as appliances. But I do use it often and do love it. If you don't need two, get the 1 pack; pretty cheap at under $10
