What is the overall length of the tool with a bit installed? Looking for a multibit screwdriver that meets TSA requirement of <7" for carry on luggage.

Answer This Question

The Milwaukee 11-in-1 Multi-Tip Combination Screwdriver has an overall length of 7-1/2 inches, which does not meet the TSA carry-on requirement of less than 7 inches. For your needs, the Milwaukee 6-in-1 Stubby Multi-Bit Screwdriver is a better option, with an overall length of just 3 inches—well under the TSA limit.

I find this screwdriver rather handy being that it has so many different bits that I don’t have to dig through a drawer for or carry a case of bits with me. Of course this is assuming I will not lose all the bits in the first few months. It is great to have in a convenient place in the house so I don’t have to go to the garage to find the right option.

              Not the best
Don’t buy this as tips don’t last long and they won’t replace them, I’ll buy any other brand

Purchased 12 packs for Christmas gift coworkers. Price is right and packaging is perfect. The 2 pack special pricing for the holiday sales with a good promo price makes it easy for gift giving. Should have gone with the bakers dozen/ 13 so I can keep a set. Being in the building trades for 50 years, I already have dozens of these multi bit screwdrivers. Especially like the ability to use it as a nut driver too for 1/4" , 5/16" and 3/8" socket size. Not to mention the speciality bits square, and torx to go along with the standard straight and Phillips. 11 sizes in all.

                Worst multi EVER!!
This 11 in 1 is not worth the $$ to MAKE let alone buy. All the bits, which each are about 3/4" big (read: easy to lose), get stuck in the particular screw you are turning. And since the flippable adapters don't actually LOCK IN, as soon as you're done tightening or loosening the screw, you pull back, and OOPS! There goes your bit, or worse, adapter. The main shaft, which holds all the flippable bits, ALSO doesn't lock in, and that has easily pulled out.

                  Tips are rusting
I have had this screwdriver 3 weeks and it is rusting. This is the second one I had because I had to return the other because the bit holder would not attach.

                    Overall a good multi-bit screwdriver.
I’m an Electrical Tech at a Forging Company so it’s safe to say my tools see their fair share of abuse from work as well as the dirt/grime that comes with it. I decided to try this screwdriver instead of the Klein 11 in 1 that I usually buy. I replaced so many from worn out nut drivers and broken bits I got tired of paying for them. Our company purchases lots of Milwaukee power tools that hold up relatively well for the most part so I had high hopes for this tool. I’ve probably been using it for about 6 months or so and just now the nut drivers are starting to get slightly worn and I just broke the tip on the large flathead bit. For the most part it’s been good, the one thing I don’t like is how bulky the handle is. I have to carry it with me all day and it’s sort of a nuisance being in a pocket all day. I got about the same amount of use out of it that I would with a Klein. I definitely think for an average Joe or do it yourself kind of person this screwdriver will last you a long time. I’m not sure what the warranty or return policy is on one of these but I will definitely consider trying another.

The screwdriver works well across all aspects it provides in it's design. I use it daily as a HVAC Service Technician. I find it hard to find anything wrong with this driver it compares very well if not better than my Klein which I think it's an 11in1 driver I don't remember. But the reason I say that is because of a couple of reasons for one it has the loop maker my Klein does not so, maybe they have a new one that has it but I do not. For two its designed so the handle is a little bigger so for my hands I get morr surface to grip and turn. Also the triangle design is similar to my Matco screwdrivers which allows you to get more torque on the driver. For three its Milwaukee and I love their products and quality so far. The last one is kind of a con and a pro the bits don't slide out as easily as the Klein which I like because when I'm really putting pressure on it to screw something it especially with the torx the bit it can get wedged in the screw which when I pull the driver back the bit can fall out and wherever I'm working in or around the unit it can fall in places I can not access without taking about everything around it so that I like but it still happens just not as much as my Klein. I know it needs to be loose so you can switch it easily I just wish there was a way to lock the bits in and the insert peices the bits go into. Other than that an amazing product and I recommend it.
