Only complaint is the uneven shape and thickness of the claw part of the hammer. Definitely made for some frustrating nail removal. I didn't examine it at purchase, so I'm not sure if it was a manufacturer's flaw, or a new design feature that I'm not accustomed to.

this is a top quality framing hammer just the right weight you can drive a sixteen penny nail with about 3 blows it makes easy work on framing up a wall the hickory handle is mounted to the head perfectly and will never come loose extra long for a powerful swing and leverage you need to pull out large spikes with ease. if you have a lot or little framing job this hammer is what you need easy on your arm too.

Well balanced, feels lighter than my regular fiberglass hammer. The hickory handle has a great shape and feel in your hand. The milled face provided solid drive for framing, the head swings well because of the long handle, reducing fatigue. This is my second hammer with the build in starter. It's not a feature for every situation, but I do like it for tight spots. Lets you set a nail with one hand with minimal clearance.

This may sound odd, but I have to say for a inexpensive hammer, this is actually quite lovely. Incredibly well crafted, and it feels fantastic gripped in your hand. No feeling like it might slip from your grip or anything like that. I appreciate the magnetic nail set for efficiency, and after doing some test swings on some wood beams I have laying around, I was surprised at how well the hickory handle absorbs the shock. I like it even better than fiber glass for that purpose now.

This is a great hammer. Drives nails very good and the magnetic nail holder make setting nails easy. I like the way they used some type of cylinder to hold the head on the handle. The head is a good size and the hammer is well balanced. My son in law used it and he said that he didn't like it at first but after using it for a while, he likes it a lot. As you can see in the pics, it is being used.

I was a little skeptical of having a wooden handled hammer but boy was I surprised. I can see how the hickory absorbs the shock as good as the high end hammers with the over mold grips like the estwing hammers. Quality is top notch its a Milwaukee product!!! One other huge benefit is the nail holder on the head of the hammer itself. It will prevent you from smashing your fingers when used correctly.

Lost my favorite hammer of 8 years. Tried to get another one like that nope, no one had them. So went and tried this one out in the store, far better than my last one. My only complaint is the milled face, but I took that off with a grinder so now it's perfect.
