I don't know exactly when Milwaukee started making these pipe wrenches but I've very quickly become a fan of them for many reasons. I'll start with this particular one first and then go over their wrenches as a whole. I'm not a plumber but I do a lot of plumbing as part of my job, at least weekly if not more. I find myself in a lot of situations where basic tools don't always work. This offset pipe wrench is great for the times where access is an issue, maybe loosening or tightening pipe that you can only come from straight-on, or in a strange position below something else, but this offset pipe wrench gives you the ability to tackle it as well as all the normal duties you or I need a pipe wrench for. The following description applies to a lot of Milwaukee's line of pipe wrenches as well. I'm really a huge fan of the handle design that seems to be extremely well thought-out to contour perfectly to my hand. The finish is great also, it's sharp-looking but neither shiny nor matte so it grips well and cleans up well also. The steel jaws are sharp and strong and open and close easily and snugly. The 14" handle is long enough for normal residential and light commercial pipe and still be able to be carried around easily, and the aluminum of the handle makes it lightweight (compared to steel) so it's just that much nicer to use, especially if used all day. If you have a need for an offset pipe wrench, give this Milwaukee 14" Offset a look. I'm very pleased with mine so far.

Another excellent product by Milwaukee! This aluminum 18" offset pipe wrench is a great tool for pros and DIYers. The maximum jaw opening is 3 inches, anything beyond that is unsafe as the top jaw may slip out of the nut. The bottom jaw is 1.50" long x 1" wide and the top jaw is 1.75" long x 1" wide. This wrench is lightweight weighing only 3lbs and 9.75oz. The offset jaw makes hard to reach places a cinch and it's 18" handle provides ample leverage. The use of a cheater bar is not recommended and could damage the wrench. Milwaukee offers a limited lifetime warranty for this product.

The pipe wrench is very nice. The heaviness of a steel pipe wrench is offset by using aluminum. I didn't have any issues getting leverage on old fittings and the teeth lock into place without moving. The jaw is offset which I prefer and also has an overbite. The coil is very durable and seems to keep it's smoothness through use. You can easily make adjustments with one hand.

Milwaukee has always been a good brand to me, I can't remember a time that I haven't liked any of their products. This product is well built and lightweight. Its nice to have tools that have different angles for difficult areas, that can ease the difficulty of a project. This is a good sized pipe wrench I think I measured 24" tip to tip, and the jaw opening was around 5-6".

I am a fan of aluminum pipe wrenches because they are lighter and I haven't broke one yet. The offset is nice for tight spots and a conventional pipe wrench is just too awkward. It is always nice to have the right tool for the job. It make things a lot easier and smoother. The wrench is well constructed and adjustment is smooth. Definitely a good tool to have in your bag!

This Milwaukee Aluminum Offset Pipe Wrench is an excellent tool. It is very lightweight compared to a standard cast iron wrench, and the offset jaw is great for hard to access areas, such as overhead or in a hole working on buried pipes such as sprinklers. The light weight will save your arms when working overhead. Great design with hardened jaws, and forged handle mean this tool will last a lifetime. Excellent product!

High quality, surprisingly lightweight offset pipe wrench. We live in an aging 1950s-era home with cast iron drain pipes, and I've never been able to open the clean out (which is at an odd angle to the wall) with my 12 in. wrench. A bit of heat and this thing cranked it right off. It's no lightweight tool -- about 6.5 lbs, by my measure -- but still a good 40% lighter than a steel equivalent. The jaws open to handle a 3" pipe with room to spare, and the whole thing is beautifully machined and finished, backed by Milwaukee's excellent reputation and a lifetime warranty. Highly recommended.

The Milwaukee 18 inch aluminum offset pipe wrench is well designed, light weight, and allows for easy use. The jaw easily adjusts and has a hearty bite with steel teeth. The handle is thin enough that you can place a longer cheater bar pipe over the handle to obtain additional leverage. The tip of the handle has a hole where you can hang the tool from a screw or hook on a tool shelf or wall. Well made as expected by Milwaukee.

WOW! This wrench is amazing. First, the size is incredible- the length is exactly what you'll need for heavy torque without the need for a breaker bar. The teeth secure a good grip without tearing up the corners of your couplings and they don't slip so you can use this with confidence. Next, you'll note just how lightweight this is- it's incredible. Because of the aluminum construction, you'll never have to worry about rust and that's always a problems when working with plumbing. All in all: a great wrench!

Great pipe wrench for limited access areas. First thing that you will notice when using this pipe wrench is how easy it is to get into tight areas. The 90 degree offset lets the wrench access areas that a standard pipe wrench can't get into. The offset jaw design also makes swinging the wrench on a pipe very easy since the handle is offset to the head. Overhead work is a breeze because you can pull down on the wrench and use your weight to tighten or loosen fittings. The pipe wrench handle is made of light weight forged aluminum weighing only 3.6 pounds. This makes the wrench much easier to use in tight spaces and especially overhead. These new wrenches also have a much nicer handle that's wider on the top than on the bottom (see photos). This makes pulling on the handle much nicer on the hands. Jaws are made of tool steel and should last for many years of hard service. Overall these are well worth considering if you're in the market for a pipe wrench.
