Customer Reviews

3/16 in. Diamond Plus Mini Hole Saw is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality Diamond Bits We used the 3/16” and the 1/4” diamond bits to install a pin mounted logo with standoffs on a porcelian tile wall. The logo required us to drill 107) 3/16” holes and 42) 1/4” holes. It took us several hours to drill the holes with a 18v cordless but these drill bits worked perfect and each hole came out really “clean”. The trick to making these diamond bits last is having a helper spray soapy water while you drill. We only went through 3) 3/16” bits and 1) 1/4” drill bit. The price is good for an excellent product and I would absolutely recommend these bits to anyone, especially those who are tired of using and burning blue pointed tile bits.. :)

I used another pointed tile bit to start the hole and this one to finish. I wish there was a way to clean out the center of the bit. I used a cup of water to dip the bit in to keep it wet. I went about 80% of the way through then finished the holes with a rotary hammer and hammer bit. I tried using the rotary hammer to start with, but it tends to chip out the surface of the tiles and can crack the tiles. The bit will last about a dozen holes if you keep it wet and are conservative with the speed and pressure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would give less stars if possible Bought to drill for shower rod brackets in porcelain tile. Having spent many years professionally remodeling bathrooms and templating, fabricating and installing natural Stone countertops.....this bit is garbage. I have large diameter bits that have lasted 100s of holes through 3cm thick stone, dry. This bit barely made it through 1/4" porcelain for one hole and halfway through hole two with water continuously on it. I need to drill 9 holes. Guess I will be returning this trash. Hope this save someone a trip or two to the store.

A wonderfully useful and effective diamond grit hole saw for drilling small holes in porcelain and stone. This thing goes thru these hard materials like butter and makes a clean hole. With this awesome bit there is no reason for masonry or glass/tile bits that take forever and only last 2 or 3 holes before becoming dull and useless. This drilled thru 6 porcelain holes and is still like new. Always use a little water or you will burn bits of this type up quickly from overheating them.

Diamond Plus Mini Hole Saw to drill 6 holes into hard parceling tile to mount a shower enclosure. The hole saw is easy to use with a little water; starting at a 45 and then pulling up to a 90 to drill the holes. No problems with heating or cracking the tile. A great tool.

Needed to make 9 holes in ceramic tile and it didn’t make it that far. I was surprised cause it’s a very dependable brand.

One tip - Keep a cup of water close to dunk the bit so it stays cool and the head doesn't glaze over, and it'll perform as long as you need it to.
