A:Â I doubt that it would fit and even if it does I wouldn't use this combination.

A:Â No, the pilot bit helps support its durability. You should look into other products home depot has to offer for your specific need.

A:Â Yes, if you turn the screw on the arbor it will loosen the drill bit.

A:Â Yes but I would suggest using a drill press, you will never be able to hold a hand drill to cut a circle. That's the reason for the pilot bit.

A:Â I've been trying to loosen the set screw (mine is just a hole where an allen wrench fits) for half an hour. It won't budge.

A:Â Yes, I bought mine last week and it seems to hold up on most surfaces.

A:Â I don't see why not as long as your saw blade doesn't have lock pins to hold it from moving. It is designed for a smaller type of blade that doesn't have a bit lock system. Hope that helps

I bought this bit for the 1/2-20 threading, not for use as an arbor/hole saw. I will mate it with a 5/8 inch drill chuck, and create a lighter duty 1/2 (5/8) inch drill for use with a 3/8 inch 24Volt drill. It won't have the true power of a 1/2 drill, but will be useful in place of that drill most of the time.

I bought this to make some holes in an old pot metal type frame of a pull behind trailer. The pivot hole feature worked fine with just a dimple to start. The actual hole saw simply bounced off the metal. The packaging indicated in good for metal? Maybe aluminum foil.... So, it did not work for my needs.
