Why wont it turn on

Asked by Andy April 25, 2021

Can you get more paper with the suction holes in it or are you just stuck with sheet paper and no dust collection

The sander comes with a plate with small spikes in it to puncture through the sheet after you put it on the sander.

I loved that it has a press plate to use other sand papers and not just Milwaukee ones. After using it for three days straight on various projects it held up amazingly.

what is 1/4 sheet

Asked by AB April 8, 2020

Sandpaper comes in various sizes, dimensions and grits. A common size sand paper is 9 x 11 inches and 4.5 x 5.5 precut sheets. These precut sheets are very convenient to use. You simply clamp the sheet on to the sander without having to cut the sheet. With the 9 x 11 sheets, these require lightly scoring the paper on the back to the size needed, folding the paper along the score lines and separate your cut sheet and install on your sander. It's a very simple procedure. You now have a 1/4 sheet.

Asked by Earl December 11, 2019

Replacement parts would only be found through the manufacturer. I always send my Milwaukee tools to repair centers and have not had to pay for any repairs or parts. I've sent in drills, impacts, routers. One of the impacts I sent back 3 times and they gave me a new impact on the 3rd time.

Is it 230V power or 110V power?

Not the best
Sand paper keeps falling off, I really needed this tool and I paid alot since I didn't wanna go with a less quality brand but man this is useless know, I've only used it like five times I really depended on this tool. Well the black stuff on the bottom wore off and know when I try to sand it just scratches everything I regret this thing should of got the orbital sander I feel riped off and that's cuz milwaukee is my favorite brand.

Do not buy this sander or any other sander with a similar clamping mechanism. After one day of use, the sanding pads have worn a flat spot on the clamp on the backside of the sander and now they will not stay in place. Every 30 sec I have to stop and adjust the pad, otherwise it will fall off. Milwaukee generally makes quality tools but, this is a poor design. I would not purchase another one like this.

Happy with its power so far but the rear spring clamp that holds sandpaper broke in second use!! I hope I'm able to find the part to replace it or else I will have no use whatsoever for it.... no one likes to throw money away like that!!

Sandpaper clamp faulty
I just bought 2 of these for a small exterior job and it’s been about 2weeks I’ve had them and the sander paper clamp is just bad it doesn’t hold the sandpaper at all I guess it’s just a faulty part. Overall happy with the power but unsatisfied with the clamp and I don’t know what I can do about it.

Sand paper slips off
My unit is hardly used. Sand paper keeps slipping off from the front and rear attachment points. Very disappointing.

Great Sander. Faulty dust collector.
Love the sander. Lots of power, does the job, holds the paper well. But the dust collector connection is under-engineered. The little plastic tab isn't strong enough to hold it in place. Every time I turn it on, the vibrations push the dust collector out immediately. Not sure how to fix it, but it needs to be beefed up so it holds.

Worked well on the Covid 19 Craft project and I'm sure will be used for many future projects.

i like this machine, good power and tha system to fix sand paper is easy and safe, BUT ths plastic base is very thin and broke easily when this felt dawn from the table to the wood deck floor were i was working, i think this could be study in order to be stronger because is easy to pull cable for accident and fall down, for the rest i like very much, thank you

I love Milwaukee products. It was a no-brainer to add this tool to my collection for some light project sanding. This is the worst tool I've ever used. True story, within 30 mins into my project the dust collector cup just started falling out. No matter what I did or how I held it, just kept falling out. I used zip ties to secure the collector in place. Then, the clamps to hold the sand paper in place just stopped working. The sand paper was coming off and no longer holding. No matter what I tried, I had to stop and re-adjust every minute or two. I bought this at Home Depot, I am now returning this. Really poor build quality from Milwaukee. I hope Milwaukee see's this review, I doubt they will, but your product design team needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. Brand integrity is at stake.

The dust trap on this sander is poorly designed. The sander itself works well, but unless you use the adapter to connect it to a shop vac, you will be COVERED in dust. The dust trap connection is not strong and secure, and it routinely falls off and sprays you with dust while using it for otherwise ordinary, simple sanding tasks. Would not buy again or recommend.
