The initial price of the 35 lb Locking Tool Lanyard feels high but you won’t need to replace it for a long time. All the parts are very robust and designed well. The locking carabiner is simple to operate but is very secure. You rotate the clip to allow it to open. The carabiner swivels easily allowing for movement. The lanyard is looped through the carabiner and then stitched together with a series of stitches. The same stitching is used for the loop on the opposite end. I like the size of the looo because you can attached the lanyard to a wide range of tools. Non-loaded length is 39”. I held my 42 lb super clamp and the lanyard held with no problem. It stretched a good 4-6” under the weight. I plan to use this for my large Stihl chainsaw

Safety first, if you have a tool that you are worried about dropping from a height and most of all hitting someone below, the Milwaukee locking tool lanyard is what you need. I provides the best shock absorption, slowing the tool in a drop and is rated for tools up to 35 pounds. The carabiner requires double action to open but snaps shut and should be attached to a fixed bar that is up to 1" in diameter as on a lift. For tools less than 5 pounds you can attach it to yourself but follow the instructions. To attach the tool there is a loop for easy attachment.

235 lb tool lanyard is very nice to have when having to climb ladders and making sure that your tools are secure while doing so. Langer comes in handy when working over open areas like a swimming pool where you do not have to be as concerned of your tools falling into the water. The lanyard also comes in handy when you have people working below you.

Quality lanyard that has caused me to weld tabs on some of my hand tools since I like it so much. The tab gives a place to attach. As an electrician I often find myself working at heights or above areas and people where if I drop my hand tools it could cause loss of life or at the very least property damage. This one is very nicely made with a swivel and a locking carabiner. Often times I have used a piece of nylon line for this purpose and did my best to tie it off but with this nifty tool I am looking like a professional. Highly recommended.

I accidentally nicked my chainsaw lanyard recently and needed a replacement so I don't drop my saw out of a tree. The length is enough that if I drop it it will swing free and I can comfortably work with it attached to my harness. Probably my favorite part is the locking carabiner, it is smooth and easy to spin the lock and open with one hand. Being able to attach or remove the lanyard with one hand is essential if you are hanging on with the other. I try not to drop my saw but the elastic built into the strap softens the shock which is a nice upgrade from my last one.
